    • Even without the updated price… You think forgoing warranty is worth it?

Ignoring you and everyone else here can't link the same thing either…

  • +1

I have been looking at this board for a while. I believe it was around $300 in March, given the price is going back down, $360 is certainly not a deal.

    • +3

Please be mindful of the current conditions we're in,

This is the first X570 shipment from ASUS we have received in a month+ due to lack of stock.

Current lowest AU Stock price is $419 according to PC Partpicker AU

we were in a worth condition when the price was lower though, plus prices are approaching pre-corna price in Australia recently.
I removed my neg for you since you changed the price from $360+ $7.5 delivery to $355 delivered to beat obiwank's comment.

just cos it's been cheaper in the past doesn't make this a non-bargain. staticice shows prices starting at $386

      • +1

your statement is the reason for toilet paper goes to $20+ a roll. Statistics show no one has stock and cheapest is $200 on ebay.

    • -1

Got it for $327 a month ago from amazon.

      • -2

        And?

        • And this is ozbargin not ozstock check. People are mad for posts inflated priced toilet paper and why not mad at posts with inflated priced motherboard?

        • aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaand its not much of a bargain. The cheapest motherboard available in stock at the moment =/= bargain. Even paying $327 a month ago wasn't a bargain, it was just a solid price.

    • beat me by 7 sec

    • This is the non wifi variant isnt it?

    • Uh. No.

    • No Wifi version in your link vs Wifi version in this link

That's US hardware, different features & without local Asus warranty.

      • Has the warranty issue been confirmed? I see this being posted all the time but no confirmation if this is true or not. ASUS has international warranty. Plus your place of purchase is Amazon.com.au and not amazon.com, its shipped from the US. If its dead on arrival, Amazon are sure to help out. I purchased the wifi variant board for $327 about a month ago on amazon

        • +1

Asus doesn't provide International warranty on their motherboards & GPU'. Never have, and I doubt they ever will.

They're useless at providing local RMA support, let alone imported motherboards.

Amazon may be helpful in replacing it if required, but its still parts being shipped to/from US.

The Amazon board is a different model without WiFi.

          • @xuqi: Whats the source on international warranty for motherboards and GPU's? If ASUS is that bad at providing support, then you should stay away from them completely; motherboards aren't very likely to fail. You would most likely be dealing with amazon in a case where you needed to return the board. https://www.amazon.com.au/gp/product/B07SXF8GY3/ref=ppx_yo_d… this model (the same one as OP) has wifi, it was $327 a month ago.

          • @xuqi: asus are without doubt the shits at warranty

    • +3

Different model. This has wifi inbuilt

    • Nice. Try.

    • OK, so this site is still cheaper…

      • +1

        lol

It wasn't when I posted the comment

Dubious pricing edit on the website now too… zero confidence.

Been sitting around $318 AUD all week on Amazon until yesterday where Amazon ran out of stock. Would just wait until a backorder or restock since it was as low as $285 two weeks ago.

In fairness to OP, it's not bad for Australian pricing and I understand a lot of it is based on suppliers and out of your control to stay profitable.

    • If that was the same model and you didn't care for warranty… Sure.

      • +6

Amazon US warranty is decades better than Asus australia warranty. They sometimes dont even care about the return and just refund you if you can send pics and your account is in good standing.

Here how it lands with retailer.

Asus Taiwan > + 20% margin > Asus Australia + 15% margin > Asus Distributor + 5% margin > Regional/state stockist + 3-4% margin + freight > Retailer + 7-8% margin > Customer. (More than 55% margin on the original import price of around US $140+GST, sold at retail price of $350 odd). That's hpw Australian retail works

        • True I know Amazon is a little unique in that regard.

Still, it's a different model being quoted.

          • @scuderiarmani: I bought this board for my friend in March using amazon au price around $310~$320 to price match ebay computer alliance ended up a little bit less than $300. Exact model. AUD was 11% lower than today compared to USD and that was in during the crona scene.

My friend got the board two days after the purchase but didn't assemble until two weeks ago when he took all the parts to my home and I assembled it for him. For his case, the wifi had some confliction issue to the PCIE Wifi6 I got for him.

            • +1

@bargaingod123: Retailers/distributors still had backlogs of stock in March.

              Stock problems didn't start immediately.

As the poster has said, this is their first shipment in a month.

    • Been sitting around $318 AUD all week on Amazon

Is that the wifi version for that price?

  • Military-grade TUF components

    The (profanity) …
