These types of sauces always seem to have an acidic tasthat does not seem to go away. Apparently a bit of baking soda neutralises it. I tried it with a jar of dolmio pesto sauce that visibly looked nice. It improved it, but not enough to eat. If I didn't have so many other options at the time I might have eaten it, but instead threw it out. I avoid most of these sauces now.

Does anyone have any tips on how to make these taste better?
