Sneaky, it's not an official controller.

      Yeah title is misleading tbh

  • It is wire and not Xbox genuine

(I maybe wrong) but I think these are more or less the standard prices for PDP

Pretty crap. Better off getting a official Microsoft controller.

Agreed. The Xbox controller is very high quality, why compromise?

If it was cheaper it would make sense.

Not saying this is any good but your telling me you can find the official Xbox controller for this price?

        • It's hard unless you go the Gumtree / Facebook Marketplace route. I managed to get an as new controller for $40 in perfect condition with the original box.

Do people like playing with wired controllers? I recall my old dog used to always trip over the PS2 controller cable and disconnect my controller LOL. I guess I can understand if people are concerned about latency.

Personally I've found the MS wireless Xbox One controller to be really high quality. I like the weight and sturdiness of it. I actually prefer it over the PS4 controller.

  • Does anyone know if the trigger buttons and joysticks on this are pressure sensitive? I.e. If you tilt the joystick slightly, it will provide a different feedback vs. tilting it abruptly.

    • If you mean analogue then yes.

It does not have a gyro function.

  • Just an FYI, posted this cos i've had one for about 4 months now and it's pretty great for under $40! Its not as grippy, the motors are a little weaker and the triggers feel more spongey (if thats a word) But it's pretty solid for the price, Dpad is nice, build quality seems good so far

  • I've had this controller for a while; Works well, only problem is you can hear the triggers' springs after a bit of use.

  • I have one of these and prefer it when i play rocket league.

1 Because the official Xbox controllers buttons become soft over time

    1. the joy sticks become loose

    2. the buttons are more stiffer and have a better feel for when I play RL

    3. its half the price

I found when playing Rocket league for a while with an official controller, i Could no longer use it when playing FPS games as the joy stick drift become unbearable

  • I didnt realize people still purchased wired controllers?

Other than the price being cheaper is there any benefit with a wired controller?

    • Yeah they some times do. My Duke XB1 wired controllers are awesome. Otherwise the only other XB1 wired controllers i currently have are the PowerA (black and green) they are good too.

Some have said that the response time through wired controllers are faster than wireless. But it's probably only marginal.

    • Don't need to change batteries ever.

      • Only downsides are obviously is that it takes up a USB port, and there is a dangling cord, and obviously limited to the length of the cord which you can stay from the game console.

Also when the missus trips over the cable when walking across the console and you playing :D :D :D

          • @Danstar: If you have pets, they also trip over the controller. My old dog used to do this quite often. It's quite funny. Maybe not as funny if a human trips though, especially if it's a loved one :P

    • I use one for PC gaming, wires aren't an issue when you're sitting at a desk.

Still…….. I'd get a genuine controller over this

  • I got two of these ages ago for like $20 each (was reduced down from $49). I still use the first one and the 2nd one is still put away. Mainly use for my PC and my Steam games. I will say that these PDP Controllers feel more clanky and not as smooth as a normal Controller. The A button on my first one now is starting to have problem where when I press A, sometimes it won't recognize it, but its like the button gets stuck and doesn't press, probably ware. It worked fine for 1+ year. I will say they are okay but not amazing, you get what you pay for. I think personally $39 down from $49 is not really a great deal. I remember a deal here like 2 years ago where you could get two of these for like $30-40 or something ridiculous. Anyways, thats my thoughts. Xbox One Wired Official Controllers are pretty expensive, and I haven't tried an official one. You can't go wrong with a Classic Official Wired Xbox 360 Controller either, can find those cheap for PC usage. Don't buy the knockoffs. Mostly garbage.
