Philips HP430 DJ Style Headphones - $19.90 Delivered

290

New Philips DJ Headphones, HP430's are well reviewed as being excellent value for money sets. Even more so when we take almost 90% off RRP. Similar to the ones Big W had on sale recently but for those who do not want the full size headphones and more manageable length cord.

Did some legwork and here are some reviews found on the net.

"Upvote"? Lol. What is this, reddit?
I had to upvote him too for that :P

    • IdioT

  • Not sure about the sound quality. See

    http://www.testseek.co.uk/home_electronics/hifi/headphones/p…

    Price is good though…

  • but this is not knock-off china made like $50 dr Dre on ebay, right?

  • Sorry guys, still working on getting Paypal live on our site. Visa/MC/Amex only at this stage.

    • +2

i was looking for paypal on the website for last 10mins!
if it hasnt gone live, you shouldnt put the Paypal ad on your site!!

  • thanks OP, perfect timing this is just what I was after…cheers

  • Nice, i will take advantage of this offer and will get a couple I think, could be good as an emergency gift.

  • Tried to pay via PayPal, no dice.
Despite advertising it, you can't pay that way.
    No headphones for me :(

    • -2

Sorry about that will. We're removing the Paypal logos off our site now. We do have a message on Checkout advising no Paypal currently (and my comment above).

      Cheers, Jason

      • -3

That should have happened as soon as you knew you couldn't provide that service, not 3 hours later and counting… You are still advertising PayPal.

Hi mate. Feedback noted. Did you refresh your image cache? The banners were updated a while ago.

          Cheers

        • -4

Didn't need to, I was using an entirely different computer this morning.
They weren't updated a while ago, it was done very recently. Why lie?

          u mad?

        • Hi Wil. Let me know what we can do to help the situation (we can reserve you a set until Paypal is back up). Like I said all we can do at the moment is apologies for not offering Paypal in time for this deal. We would love to, but there is a technical issue we have to fix up first and its absolutely top priority.

        • +3

We've always been transparent and honest here. We're here to please so not sure what 'lie' you think we have told. Have a great weekend Wil.

A good thing you're not revisiting the thread, because you're coming off like a petulant child.

  • What's the sound quality like?

  • Trying to buy this, but everytime I am trying to fill in the City/Postcode, my IE freezes.
The majorities of the reviews says the sound quality is above average but the build quality is hopeless. Common problem will all the headphone which is the earpiece swivel breaks apart.

REP: Please have a look at the this City/Postcode problem.

    • Hi, we'll have a look into this. The City/Postcode box does utilize AJAX script to show the list of suburbs/postcodes based on your suggestions. Are you on IE8? We've had a few purchases come through ok with IE8/IE9.

      • This is the error i got at the payment screen. I am using firefox 6.0.2

SQLSTATE[23000]: Integrity constraint violation: 1452 Cannot add or update a child row: a foreign key constraint fails (dealfox_magento.dealfox_enterprise_reward, CONSTRAINT FK_REWARD_CUSTOMER_ID FOREIGN KEY (customer_id) REFERENCES dealfox_customer_entity (entity_id) ON DELETE CASCADE ON UPDATE CAS)

Hope that it will help your guys to debug… :)

        • Thanks hy88. Do you mind trying again? we noticed a brief period the payment gateway had issues that might have caused that message.

        • Thanks Jason. I brought one by using IE8 to make payment right after i posted previous comment…

          Can't help you to test.

  • I had a look at the reviews and they seem to be overall quite positive on sound and build quality.

However, I think I will pass since there were some comments that those were not comfortable on the head. Maybe I'm asking too much for $20? Oh well.

    Thanks for the offer though.

  • Hmm this "sounds" like a good deal…$20 headphones with good reviews are "music to my ears"

Another review from head-fi.org which I have found useful is http://www.head-fi.org/t/433318/shootout-93-portable-headpho….

These look interesting as an introduction to closed headphones (I have only had Koss KSC75 and Portapro).

Lack of PayPal is holding me back.

  • DealFox, can you confirm these include a 1.8m extension cable?

    • Hi Spockter, I just had someone check. And they have confirmed it is a 1.2m cable plus 0.60m extension cable, therefore a total length of 1.8m extended. Sorry about the wording in the manufacturers specs, we've edited to make it more accurate.

If this affects anyone's buying decision please let us know via our Support or Ph.

      Kind Regards,
      Jason

      • You sure on that editing? Page is still saying "If I want even MORE distance from the stereo or iPod then I just attach the 1.8m extension cable to the standard 1.2m headphone cable and I can be a whole 3m away!" for me.

        • GafferFish was right, isnt it said 1.8m extension cable?!?!
i checked all other review websites and they all said 1.8m extension cable to be 3m away!!!

my order was shipped in the arvo yesterday.. i hope i get 1.8m extension not just 0.6m..
          Jason, Deal Fox, thats misrepresentation

  • Grabbed a pair, wonder how they are compared to the "designer" SHL8800s I got from Big W last time..

    • Received mine today. Pretty decent for $20. Bass is clearer than with the SHL8800s.

  • Very Very impressed! Ordered on 30/9 afternoon and delivered to NT on 3/10…

    Good work Deal fox!

    • That's awesome, one business day shipping to NT. Even I'm impressed! :)

  • How come!!! 2007 manufactured products can be *New Philips DJ Headphones ?

Even the quality is not bad, I feel like I am rooked

    • Hi alphasing. 'New' describes the condition of the items regardless of manufacture year. It's quite the industry standard. Sorry if you thought otherwise. Hope they serve you well!
