WE HAVE RE-STOCKED - AGAIN!

Hi OzBargainers! We posted this deal at the end of March but unfortunately ran out of stock within a few hours before a lot of you had chance to get one. We then re-posted this a few weeks ago but you keen beans snapped up 300 of these in 6 hours and we ran out again! This happened AGAIN last week; we sold out in 2 hours (sorry!). Thankfully Amazon have allowed us more storage this time and we now have almost 700 of these available as of this morning.

The deal was supposed to run for 3 days so now that we have some more back in stock, we have extended the promotion to run through to the end of Sunday 7th June (whilst stocks last - but we will keep trying to get more in Amazon to meet demand!)

Whilst many of us continue to struggle through lockdown with reduced working hours / pay, or juggling work life and home life whilst working from home, we're here to help at least in the coffee department…

We're offering our twohundredº cold brew coffee makers at the reduced price of $49 on Amazon, so you can make some delicious cold brew without even leaving your house.

Usually $129. Qualifies for free shipping through Amazon (available on orders over $39).

Use code COLDBREW49 at checkout - see below for further instructions.

Any questions (now or once you've received your coffee maker), please feel free to email us: [email protected]

Happy cold brewing (wash your hands!)

To claim this offer, add the cold brew coffee maker to your Amazon basket as usual and go most of the way through the checkout process.

Once you get to entering your payment information, there'll be a drop down menu under the heading "Gift Cards".

Here you can enter the coupon code (COLDBREW49) and this should reduce the price to $49.

      Hi Mikebriz,

Thanks for your comment and feedback - and thank you for being a customer! :)

It totally depends on the person and how they like their coffee. We find using 50g of coffee and steeping for about 20 hours at room temperature produces a really good brew, but that's what suits our tastes. We find this a better strength (stronger) than cafe-bought cold brew in general, and we know some people actually find this too strong and need to water it down. But that said, we always maintain it is personal preference and we totally get that for some people, this isn't strong enough, and they prefer to use more coffee and/or steep for a longer duration. 50g tends to be about right for the average coffee drinker in our experience (and from handing out tasters at our local markets), but it's not right for everyone.

The beauty of cold brewing at home is that you can experiment with the amount of coffee you use, the length of time you steep for, whether to steep at room temperature or refrigerate throughout, until you find the mix that suits your personal taste - rather than relying on your local cafe to make it to suit the average coffee drinker. We're not going to sit here and tell you you're wrong for using more coffee - we think this is a completely valid comment and you just like your coffee stronger than the average person and that is totally cool :)

Happy cold brewing and thank you for choosing our product :)

  • Looking at grabbing one of these, I've been using a french press every day in iso but have sampled cold brew in the past and love it!

Can anyone in Vic recommend a good coffee supplier? I've still got a fair amount left from the Dukes coffee deal a little while back but that's ground too finely for cold brew so will need to buy some more.

    • +1

Got you fam : Aucuba, Dukes Coffee, Cartel Coffee Roasters, Industry Beans, St. Ali, Code Black, Rumble Coffee Roasters, Au79, Proud Mary, Market Lane.

      • Alright, I should have been more specific! Haha nah that's helpful thanks. I work near Au79 so might check them out.

  • I can’t seem to find any option to purchase?

      Hi spasto,

I'm afraid we have literally just sold out!

We are shipping more in to Amazon and hope these will be available next week. We'll update on here once they're back in stock :)

Sorry you've missed out this time - we're happy to extend the promotion once they're back in stock, as it was supposed to run until Sunday.

Thanks a lot for your interest and thank you to all those who bought us out of stock!

      Sarah - twohundredº

      • Was just about to place an order.

Will be ordering when you get new stock!

        • Hi hobo123,

Sorry to hear you missed out! Thanks for your interest though - we'll update on here once they are back in stock :)

        • Hi hobo123,

We have a very limited number of these that have just come into stock. We've extended the promotion, same code :)

I'll update this post to "in stock" once more have arrived, hopefully later this week.

          Thanks,

Managed to sneak an order in, cheers. Just need to find some coffee to go with it now.

  • Are you sold out already? It says currently unavailable on Amazon for me.

    • Hi Cluelessness11,

I'm afraid so! Amazon set a maximum stock level we're allowed to have in their warehouses at any one time (300) and these have been snapped up already. We've got some more on the way soon and will update as soon as they are available. As this promotion was supposed to run until Sunday we will extend it once the new ones arrive into Amazon and are available for sale. I'll update on here when they're back in stock :)

Thanks a lot for your interest and sorry we ran out so quickly :-/

Don't bother with this. Its a rebranded fancy jar that they're selling well over the wholesale price from Alibaba.
Just look at the preconceived conversations the rep has conjured above.
Some questions have thrown them, like the size of the holes in the mesh. They don't know because they didn't design this product.
Don't pay for this product. Buy a jar and good quality conical burr grinder. Not the one these guys use in there video.

    • +2

Agree with getting a good burr grinder

You can buy a decent size jug and filter from Kmart for $12
      https://www.kmart.com.au/product/ice-tea--cold-coffee-brewer…

I also run the brew through a paper filter to get rid of the fine grinds

      • Good grind size and a good filter is key to a great cold brew. The vessel is irrelevant.

        • This might change going forward, there's some experimental stuff saying you want both large and small grind sizes so that you get a perfect balance of flavours from under and over extracted brew (hot brew coffee though)

Also, if you filter out too much stuff you lose some flavours. I use the inbuilt filter (from a different brewer) then also do half of the remaining stuff through a paper filter to get more of the sludgey stuff out

    • +1

Can you point me to any object that ships from an Amazon warehouse that's selling at the wholesale price from Alibaba?

I'm working from home with little to do and I like cold brew. This looks easier to pour from than a jar, and similar things on alibaba sell in minimums of 10, cost $10US and I need to wait a zillion years for shipping.

There's also a very easy solution - go buy a few hundred of these and sell them yourself. Apparently they sold 300 in a few hours today, you should be making a killing.

      • +14

        Hi freefall101,

Thanks for chipping in here whilst we were busy with the orders :)

They are made in China, and we won't try to hide that.

However, I disagree with the rest of fenowik's comment. For one, I'd be interested to know what he means by "Just look at the preconceived conversations the rep has conjured above"…? If this is a suggestion that any of these comments are planted somehow, I only wish I knew how to even go about that!

We may not have designed the product from scratch (no, we are not product designers; I am an Architect - interested in all kinds of design - by trade and this business is a side business for me and my partner), however we did make modifications to an already very high quality product sourced from a company who make glassware, in order to make it, in our opinion, a better design. Most other cold brewers of a similar design have a large, open spout, which we changed to make it near-airtight to ensure freshness. We also got rid of the useless and fragile glass handles found on most, as the product fits perfectly into your hand.

We then had to ship 3000 of these from China (MOQ on these babies is 1000), to the USA, to Australia - no mean feat for someone who has zero experience in this area. If you would like to do this yourself, please go ahead. If you think we are making a lot of money on each sale at this price, you are sadly very much mistaken; we barely break even. Running a business is not cheap, and COVID-19 is doing its best to break many small businesses.

This is something we are passionate about, and to us, a very small business, every order means something. We are not a big multinational - we are two people trying to make a living, who have feelings, hopes and dreams, and the guts to try something like this.

I therefore would thank each and every one of you who has placed an order, especially as we know times are hard right now. We are doing our best to get more stock into Amazon ASAP and will let you know once we've managed this.

Thanks so much for your support :)

        Sarah - twohundredº

    • +2

sure you can be resourceful and make something that does the same for much cheaper. But give credit where credit is due. We must place value in product innovation, design and improvement otherwise we are doomed as consumers. And more importantly, in dire times like these when small local businesses are collapsing around us, shouldn't we do our part to support them? It's not like this is a big corp like Kmart or target trying to sell us overpriced mass produced junk.

$49 isn't an exorbitant price to pay for a quality Australian-designed product. Also please provide a link to aforementioned alibaba fancy jar so we can be our own judge of whether it's a worthy competitor.

    • Agreed. Turned away once I saw that comment. At least know the product you are selling.

  • Nooooo!! Just got back from work and it's sold out :(

      Hi jasong,

Sorry you've just missed out! We are trying to get more shipped into Amazon and hope to have these available in a week or two. We'll run the deal again as we sold out so quickly, and we intended to have it running through Sunday :)

      Thanks,

  • Back in stock!

    • +1

      Hi soulspawn,

      Well spotted!

We had some delivered to Amazon today but they are still in the process of being checked in. This can take a few days before they all become available; currently only 4 left available to buy, but there are a further 220 soon to be added - as soon as Amazon have processed these I'll update to "in stock" :)

      Thanks!

      Sarah - twohundredº

      • Thanks for restocking and keeping the deal on. I’ve been checking in every couple of days to see if stock came back in.

        • Not a problem soulspawn :)

We were overwhelmed by the interest in the deal and grateful for the support of our customers to our small business, so the least we could do was extend the deal for those who missed out again! Thank you for checking back and for being a customer :) Hopefully you'll love cold brewing!

    Hi everyone,

We now have these back in stock with Amazon and have extended the promotion to run until the end of Sunday 31st May for those of you who missed out (again!) :)

Thanks to all of you who purchased one already - any questions or issues please drop me a line:
    [email protected]

    Thanks!
    Sarah - twohundredº

  • I got one in the last deal, and whilst I sometimes still think it might have been expensive (Even at sale price of $50) the quality of the product is unmatched, very easy to use and very easy to clean. Can't beat a nice glass product for cleanliness.

    • Hi cruiseronroad,
Thanks for the honest feedback, very happy to hear you like it :)
      Thanks for being a customer!
      Sarah - twohundred°

  • FYI for those on a budget I use a 2L glass jar and a hand grinder (about 180g) of coffee. Add filtered water and leave 2 days. Then I just filter out.

  • @OP

Sorry for n00b question, can I use this for normal hot coffee brew and/or tea infusions? Or is it strictly cold water? What's temperature range that it can handle / safe to use?

Can I put all of its components into dishwasher?

    Thanks.

    • +1

      Hi JGreen0708,

Thanks for the questions - all very valid!

Whilst the glass itself can handle boiling water, we very much advise against using it to hold boiling water. This is purely due to the risk of scalding as the glass itself will get very hot and there is no handle. However, you can use it to cold brew tea and coffee, and then simply heat up your brew in your favourite mug in the microwave. This preserves the benefits of cold brewing - the lack of bitterness, a much smoother flavour :)

In terms of dishwasher safety, the components are all dishwasher safe. We find a quick rinse in warm water is sufficient to clean it, but if you do choose to put it in the dishwasher please just be careful about how you stack other items around the glass carafe (as you would be with wine glasses for example!) to prevent it being knocked into violently during the washing process.

      Hopefully this helps! :)

      Thanks,
      Sarah - twohundred°

  • I'm not very happy about the timing…Now I've got to keep it hidden from my wife for a few months before it's her birthday! ;)

    Thanks for the bargain!

    • Haha, what a terrible position to be in!! ;) Hopefully she doesn’t snoop too hard!
Thanks for being a customer :)
      Sarah - twohundred°

  • I honestly save so much just buying the kmart jug and the filter looks finer than what this offers.

    https://www.kmart.com.au/product/ice-tea--cold-coffee-brewer…

    • the power of ozbargain.

i also have one of those OBD2 sensors i didn't really want.

  • Word of advice, defs not the cheapest way to go ahead for cold brewing coffee. I wouldn't use it for hot tea and I don't cold brew tea. Although besides saying that it is very nice and great for serving cold brew coffee. I wouldn't call it air-tight my silicon seal is pretty loosey goosey.

    • Hi POSITIVEVIBESONLY,

I agree there are definitely cheaper ones on the market, but they tend to be cheaper for a reason; they use cheaper materials (plastic filters and often a plastic carafe), and don't look as nice ;) But for some people, that's totally fine, and we encourage everyone to choose what is right for them :) We're happy to hear you are enjoying using it for cold brew though - agree that the lack of handle is not suited to hot brewing in the carafe.

Also agree regarding the seal - that's why we try not to be misleading, and state it is "near-airtight"; it does a great job at keeping the coffee fresh, but I wouldn't shake it and expect the lid not to pop off and coffee go everywhere! :) It does a much better job than the open spouts you will find on a lot of cold brew carafes though.

Thanks for your feedback and thank you for being a customer :) Happy cold-brewing!

      Sarah - twohundredº

  • had mine come in, pretty impressed :) quality piece of kit!

    • Hi JoelyMoley,

Ahh I'm so pleased to hear you like it! We think they're pretty awesome, but we are very biased ;) So it's always nice to hear it from a happy (unbiased!) customer :)

      Thanks,
      Sarah - twohundredº

  • Thanks OP, got one :)

    • No worries, great that you got your hands on one before they all flew off the shelves! :) Thanks for being a customer; any questions once it arrives please just shoot me an email - [email protected] :)

      Thanks!

      Sarah - twohundredº

  • Ordered - can't wait!

    • Thanks shreav! You got in there just in time as we've already sold out again! Hope you love it and the cold brew it makes :)

      Sarah - twohundredº

I’m now drinking hot coffees again.

      Haha, hi ilostnemo,

Thanks for being a customer :)

  • Just moved in with girlfriend and she broke my old carafe so this is perfect timing. Thank you!

    • I'd make a joke about breaking her instead and saving $49 but I wouldn't want to upset the social justice police.

      • Hi StrangeDisposition,

Let's hope this one lasts a little longer! Thanks for your order, we hope you love it :)

        Sarah - twohundredº

  • No more stock?

    • Hi UnciasDream,

I'm afraid we've been wiped out of stock in record time; we have more making their way to Amazon and hope these will be available within the next week or so. As it has proved a popular deal again, we'll be happy to extend it for those of you who missed out. I'll let you know when we are back in stock at Amazon :)

      Thanks,

      Sarah - twohundredº

    • Hi UnciasDream,

These have just come back in to stock, discount code has been extended for those of you who missed out :)

      Thanks,
      Sarah - twohundredº

  • +1

Wow, you guys are incredible, you've wiped us out again, in under two hours!!

Sorry for those of you who didn't get in quickly enough, we can't restock fast enough to keep up with your demand!

There are more making their way to Amazon as I type and the good news is they've increased our storage limit in their warehouse now from 300 to 700. As soon as we have them available on Amazon again, I'll let you know - and again, as we sold out so quickly, we'll extend the promotion. It usually takes about a week for them to become available but I'll keep you updated!

    Thank you!
    Sarah - twohundredº

  • There are none left? Disappointing as I was going to purchase one. Will go with Hario instead

    • Hi AsukaLangleySohryu,

If you can hang on another week or so, we've got more on the way into Amazon and we will be extending this promotion for when they arrive. I'll let you know when they;re back in stock in case you're still in the market for one :)

      Thanks,
      Sarah - twohundredº

    • Hi AsukaLangleySohryu,
In case you didn't get round to buying an alternative one already, our twohundredº cold brew coffee makers are now back in stock :)

      Sarah - twohundredº

  • +1

Grabbed one in the last deal. The carafe is so gorgeous, when I put it on my table it makes the rest of the room look tacky in comparison…

Thanks for the brewing tips in the order replies, too!

    • Ah thanks SenpaiAndre! We love hearing this kind of feedback, it makes us feel all warm inside! We love them and put effort into making sure we offer a quality product that we can be proud of, so it's great to hear we have happy customers too! :)

      Thank you!

      Sarah - twohundredº

      • Hi I sent a message on amazon but I figure I'd send one here too because you're super active!

I sadly broke the beautiful (but delicate!) carafe cleaning it this morning and I was wondering if you knew the diameter that the basket/lid + Silicone seal fits in?
Would hate to chuck the basket out.

        Cheers

        • +3

          Hi SenpaiAndre,

Sorry I’ve only just seen this! Hopefully you received my response through Amazon though - there’s a brand new complimentary coffee maker winging its way to you as I type, it was collected by courier today so should be with you shortly :)

Hopefully this one will be a little more durable! :)

Thanks again for being a customer!

          Sarah - twohundred°

          • @twohundred degrees: I got your messages when I got home from work I was absolutely floored! Thank you so much, it was very generous of you: Especially since it was my clumsiness that caused the breakage :(

I left feedback on Amazon, but I'm not sure if you got it. Not really sure how communications works there. But you made my month for sure!

            • +1

@monky: Ahh thank you SenpaiAndre, I just saw it now, you made my month in return! :) We love it when we have a happy customer! Hopefully you’ll be making delicious cold brew for many years to come :)

              Have a great weekend,

              Sarah

  • And now we play the waiting game…

    • Ahh, the waiting game sucks. Let's play Hungry Hungry Hippos!

    • Hi Misakigrim,

The waiting game is over - back in stock as of today, and the discount code has been extended :)

      Sarah - twohundredº

  • Sad to have missed out on the stock of this one. I bought one in the March sale but broke the glass in an unfortunate drying incident and the filter got thrown away! It was a great product though and I was really impressed with the quality… will watch out for a restock or the next sale :)

    • +1

      Hi mandus,

I’m really sorry to hear your last one broke! But happy to hear you loved it before the incident!!

We’ve got some more heading in as I type, and we’re hopeful they’ll be available early next week (possibly even tomorrow if Amazon process them quickly); I’ll let you know as soon as they’re available so you can grab one :)

      Thanks for being a customer!

      Sarah - twohundred°

    • Hi mandus,

Just to let you know the new stock has arrived and is available once again on Amazon. Discount code extended :)

      Thanks,

      Sarah - twohundredº

  • Can I use hot water for tea?

    • Hi Ruby Stark,

Although the glass can withstand the temperature of boiling water, because there is no handle and the glass itself would get very hot, we do not advise using hot water in the carafe due to a risk of scalding.

If you would like to make hot tea or coffee, we recommend using the carafe to cold brew as usual, and then simply heat up your brew in your favourite mug in the microwave when you want to drink it. That way you get the benefits of cold brewing (less bitterness and a smoother taste) but in a hot drink :)

      I hope this helps!

      Thanks,

      Sarah - twohundredº

  • tempting to buy but I live by myself, feel like if i make some coffee it will go waste :(

    • Hi sauce2k,
In case it helps, we find the coffee easily stays fresh for a week once it’s brewed if you keep it in the fridge with the lid and gasket on :)
      Sarah - twohundred°

      • wow ok I didn't know about this.

I'm definitely considering getting one now!

I don't have a grinder, so do I just go to a coffee shop and get a bag of coffee beans?Assuming most of them would grind them for free?
        Thx

        • Hi sauce2k,
Yep, most coffee shops should be able to do you a coarse grind - just make sure you let them know it’s for cold brew so they do it nice and coarse. Alternatively there’s some handy tips in the comments above if you’re considering investing in a grinder - they don’t have to be super expensive :)
          Thanks!
          Sarah - twohundred°

  • Hot coffee in the morning and cold brew in the afternoon.

Already have Hario but this product at $49 is really tempting.

    • Hi tighttighttight,
If you had one of each, there’d be no black out days whilst you wait for it to steep… ;)
      Happy cold brewing!
      Sarah - twohundred°

  • Got one delivered last week, been really impressed so far. My only little gripe is the mesh filter is a bit tricky to clean, but I've found a little toothbrush gets all of the old grinds out. Good quality and looks nice.

    • +1

      Hi navyblues,
I’m glad to hear it reached you safely and you’re enjoying it so far! :)
We usually find just rinsing the filter does the trick, so I wonder if you’re using a bit of a finer grind than we do maybe? Could be worth experimenting win a coarser grind if you’re able to :) Happy to hear you’ve found a work around though - that’s a great idea to use a toothbrush!
Thanks for being a customer and happy cold brewing :)
      Sarah - twohundred°

  • Just got one. Thanks!

    • Hi rushil01,
      Thanks for being a customer!

  • Having the Hario Cold Brew Pot at $39 can probably guarantee this one is decent with the better build quality at $49. It's initial price of $129 is very steep.

The one thing I appreciate about the Hario Cold Brew Pot is that the filter has a removable bottom which make cleaning it out easy.

Otherwise many glass jars and nylon bags or even refillable tea bags (from Daiso are cheaper alternative. )

Invest the money in good beans and grinder. And experiment the ranges of single origin roasts.

  • Noob question but can you use ground coffee for cold brew?

    • Using ground vs "whole" beans won't impact your DIY cold brew coffee too much, but since the pre-packaged coffee is already so finely ground, it'll just make your coffee that much stronger once it begins to steep.

    • Hi 4tran,
You do use ground coffee, but it needs to be a coarse grind. You want to avoid a fine grind for a number of reasons:
      - The fine dust will clog the mesh filter
      - Water cannot easily circulate around the fine grounds so will not steep efficiently
      - Fine dusts will seep through the fine mesh filter, leaving you with sediment at the bottom. This will settle so as long as you are careful when pouring out, so that's not a huge issue.

We recommend using a coarse grind for the above reasons, to get the best results. You can buy coarse pre-ground beans, or you can use a manual grinder (which can be quite inexpensive) and buy whole beans for the freshest results. Similarly, your local coffee shop should be able to grind beans for you - just make sure to ask for a coarse grind :)

In terms of pre-ground beans available for purchase:
      https://www.mycuppa.com.au/Fresh-Roasted-Coffee/
I found these guys with a quick Google search, who give the option to grind your selected beans to your desired coarseness.

      I hope this helps!

      Happy cold brewing :)

      • Always wanted to try cold brew so purchased. So normal supermarket ground coffee like Lavazza and Harris would be considered fine ground?

        • Thanks for being a customer, 4tran!

Yes, most stuff you’ll find in a supermarket will be a fine ground. If you have some in the house already, there’s definitely nothing to stop you from trying it - it will still work, just won’t be as good a result.

Perhaps experiment with some fine ground coffee and compare with some beans you ask your local coffee shop to grind coarsely, then you can be the judge; if you’re happy with the result from the supermarket coffee then great!

We’ve even heard of people using a NutriBullet as a substitute for a coffee grinder in an emergency! Certainly not ideal but if you have one already, you could give it a go!

          Thanks,

  • So is this just for iced coffee or can I use it to make a normal latte?

      Hi heal,

The carafe is for making cold brew coffee or tea, due to the glass carafe having no handle, and the resulting risk of scalding if it were used to hold hot liquids.

However, you can then use this cold brewed coffee to make a latte or other hot coffee by transferring to a mug / glass and heating in the microwave. You will get the benefits of cold brewed coffee (less bitterness, smoother flavour) but in a hot drink :)

      Thanks,

      • Thanks, I've just ordered one.

Got one, tbh not what I expected. Not sure how the rrp is $129, the packaging is on par with those cheap Chinese knockoffs, cardboard and bubble wrap quality are pretty low. And it’s made in China.

Now the filter design… do u flush the coffee waste into kitchen sink clogging it up sooner or later?

transferring the rubber seal from the filter onto the lid, and the lid doesn’t seal properly with the filter being metal to metal. Are you serious? I don’t know how to describe coffee with fridge smell.

It’s basically just a glass jar with a poorly designed filter and lid. My point is, this $49 I spent does not give me any better coffee than any diy rig.

So much I want to support the locals but it’s disappointing.

      Hi Mugu,

We're really sorry to hear you're so disappointed with our product, especially as the vast majority of our customers love it.

If the lid isn't fitting inside the filter nice and tightly, you've received a defective unit and we'll be happy to send you a replacement lid and filter. Happy to send you two new filters, lids and gaskets if you find the transferring of the silicone gasket a pain.

We also offer a 30 day money back guarantee if you're not happy with our product; please contact me via email or through Amazon, with your order number, if you'd like to take us up on that. Or if you'd like to receive replacement lids and filters, again please shoot me an email or Amazon message with your delivery address and we can sort this out for you.

Regarding the resulting waste coffee, unfortunately that is the issue with cold brew coffee of any form - you are left with your coffee grinds to dispose of. They are compostable though, if that helps…

      Many thanks,
