  • Is there anywhere on the Latitude account page where you can check to see if this is activated?
Got a nice $100/$20 return, but some of the testimonials here make me want to double check the offer is redeemed properly :O

Not that I know of. Just re-click on the activate offer link and do a screen shot of the "You have activated your offer!"

      • Heh, sounds good :)

  • "Spend $2,300 and get a $50 credit back."
Damn. I just bought a TV on my card for that amount last week. And I haven’t even opened it yet.

    • I got this too

  • Tried to pay my account but can't proceed. Is that a new rule?
"This could be due to the status of your account, or because you have recently used this feature in the last five days."

    • you can only use online service centre to pay once in five days.

It's been that way for awhile. I ditched my 28 Degrees and got a Bank West card instead. Why do they make it so hard to pay off your card? You either have to pay 50¢ to pay with BPay or be only able to direct deposit every 5 days. It wouldn't even let me "over pay" my account when I wanted to pay off the balance because some of the transactions were still pending.

      • You can overpay, but to a point. It may not be enough to cover these upcoming transactions.. the overpay limit they use is senseless

    • Annoying. I get it occasionally (even though I only pay once a month). Try again in a day or so

  • This
    used
    to
    be a
    good
    card

    • what's good then..

    • Why is it no good any more?

They have taken away a lot of good features and introduced a bpay fee

I've noticed some dark design patterns on their latest iteration of the monthly statements.

"minimum payment" is labelled in bright red as "total payment. Firstly it's deceitful and most people would see this first and paying just that will incur interest.

The actual total amount of your statement is on the other side of the page mixed in a table.

The due date isn't exactly easy to find either. Had to ctrl+F

        • i'll check my next statement,
but i just pay off Closing balance each month

This card use to be amazing for overseas when it was stilled owned by GE money. You were able to "overload" the card (i.e $1000 in the positive) and take that money out at foreign ATMs with 0 fees. Once it sold it was just like a regular card and they charged you 50¢ just to use Bpay. The last straw for me is when I was overseas and using the card a lot I wasn't able to use direct debit regularly to pay off my card, I had to wait 5 days.

  • "… we're giving you a $20 credit when you spend $1,300 or more* on your Latitude 28° Global Platinum Mastercard® over the next 4 weeks. Click below to activate this offer and let's get started."
That's what I got in an email!

  • I like this credit card.

What about the cash you buried Heisenberg??
      You should know better !

  • My wife got "Spend $5,500 and get a $50 credit back" offer.

Obviously you it's not an offer worths signing up for, but if you already have the card, and need to spend money anyway then it's good to have.

Woohoo, brought forward some bills and paid with this card, spent $592 today of my $1200 target already.

    • Don't they charge you Cash Advance fee for bills? Thought I remembered they did when I paid off some utilities

Spend $500 and get a $20 credit back.
    Credit Limit: 1000

  • 28 Degrees cashback offers have been really hit and miss for me. I often don't receive the cashback despite activating and following the T&Cs, so I think I'd rather just earn points on my other cards than try qualify for 1% cashback that I might not even receive…

  • Does the promo info show that you've activated once you login? I can't see it anywhere

  • Got spend $1500 for $20

  • missed $20 back last time, nothing to buy.

this time $10 back on 900 spend, activated.

  • I got an email today saying 'Reminder: Get $20 back when you need it most'
Says I have two weeks left to spend $1500 to get $20 back.. I never got the first email and I spent that in the period anyway.
Don't think I will be spending another $1500 in the next two weeks, so that's a shame.

    • I never got the first email …

It is worth you checking your junk folder and old mail to see if you still have the first email, and activate the link. Or if today's reminder email has the ACTIVATE button, just activate it anyway (even if you are not going to spend another $1500).

This is just in case the order (activate, then spend) is not important. Merely that you have activated, and spent the required amount in the eligible period, when they come around to giving out the $20. Some offers like Woolworths Rewards - the order is important (must activate then spend). But maybe not for this. I am not sure about this. But you have nothing to lose, but possibly $20 to gain.

I also received a reminder email today, and since I have activated, it says:

We've noticed that you haven't used your Latitude 28° Global Platinum Mastercard® since activating our offer.

Yeah I searched spam/All mail and it definitely isn't there.

I have activated it from today's email and let's hope that my spend triggers the payout :)
