good price, but these are no good in the case of the Zombie apocalypse as you need an extension cord.

    • LOL way too much dead rising!

buy two of them and hook them up onto your bike

    • better to use a ranged weapon (shotgun) against zombies - don't want to get infected

Buy the generator from Aldi this week, and the chainsaw next week. =]

  • Hey its Nicole Richie's dad. =) But good price for a chainsaw, but I have never used an electric one. I wonder how long the cord is?

    • usually very short, 6 inches or there abouts.

      • +8

thats not short, its about average…
        oh wait…you meant the cord..

          not in china…i keed

        • @spawnpoint. Russell Peters approves your message!

  • And Halloween just around the corner. Now I need a deal on sky mask :)

Dang! it's blue and corded … maybe I'll go this:

    at least it's red

      you mean hockey mask?

  • I've never heard of an electric chainsaw until now: what a concept.

Be careful with these. A friend brought a hedge trimmer from Aldi, & cut his fingers off. No safety guard, nothing to protect hands. He had read the manual, & watched the DVD beforehand. He's an OHS officer.

    • +5

      LOl..man I'm going to hell :(

    • You would have to be a unit to use a chainsaw with one hand…unless you've already sawed it off!

    • why'd he do that for? :S

    • That's gotta hurt especially since it's very hard to even cut thru thick hedges with those things

    • +1

Whose "Hedge" was he trimming to get his fingers so close in between the blades??

Wait, do electric chainsaws make that noise?

What's the splatter radius on these things?

    • +3

not much in stock form, you need to enter cheatcode MOREBLOODPLEASE at the loading screen or once you spawn on Earth then up, down, circle, circle, R2, triangle.

Brilliant. Going to pick one up tomorrow.

Good price and good quality, "Oregon bar and chain" are top brand.

Good to know, based on what I've seen I thought the Texas Chainsaw's work pretty well.

  • OzBargain meetings in the State Forests now. Some people risk anything for a freebie these days! :)

for those wondering whether electric chainsaws are any good

i have a GMC one that has chopped down many trees

i have a mega extension cord so its range is never a problem, just don't accidentally saw through the cord

torque wise it is fine compared to a petrol one - good enough for residential properties - if you run a farm or use your chainsaw every week then I'd say petrol is the go.. if you're just some suburban type like me, electric is good

the electric is also good if you don't use it often as it can sit on the shelf for years without having to do anything with petrol/oil/carbies

  • You know the Germans always make good stuff.

    I want a chainsword

I bought one of these last year, used to chop a length of hardwood (gum tree) into a bench seat. It eventually broke, because I pushed it too hard but if you treat it properly then you wont need to take it back for a refund.

      nice wood

        that's what she said

    • Mate this chainsaw is to small for that job!!

But as you said, do the task gently and it will do the job done.

I hope my local Aldi has at least 3 in stock. I am looking for a new juggling challenge, and the cords on these should make it just that little bit harder.

      very funny!!!
