      You're looking at it all wrong.

      Homer: Wow! A Valu-Qual coupon book! … Two pizzas for the price of one at Doughy's!
      Lisa: Doughy's has terrible pizza!
      Homer: Yeah, but there's two!

      • Haha
        I think that of 90% of the deals posted.

        That and Bart's birthday book of freebies

        "eat it and get out!"

  • Which one is the best value ?

    • Am I mistaken or weren’t the regular meat pies $3 to begin with and somewhere along the line they went up in price?

      • yup

      • They went up to $3.50 a while ago.

    The last 7/11 Sausage Roll I had came with bone inside. You get what you pay for.

    • +14

      I see you have a bone to pick with 7-11

    • +8

      Those are prizes!

    • +2

      It's a limited edition. Obviously 7/11 must have thoughts someone would appreciate it.

    • Ooooh! A bone bag!

  • +1

    Dim sims? I don't remember seeing those in store?

    • They are not terribly good.

  • A few years back 7/11 really upped their game on hot food and sangas. Last few it has gone backwards. Still not as crap as typical servo food, but on its way.

  • +1

    $3 for a dim sim is not a bargain.

    • Depends how many are in the pack.
      1 = too expensive
      2 = maybe
      3 = probably
      4 = bargain

      • +2

        So how do we know whether to upvote or not?

        • I'm not voting until verified (Wednesday), but plenty of others have upvoted; maybe based on the other products.

            @GG57: A pie for $3 isn't a bargain. I get 4 for $4 from the supermarket.

            • +1

              @jv: Is it like-for-like though?
              Heated?

              Almost all packaged foods could be thought of as not a deal, if you want to take it back to make-your-own.

              • +2

                @GG57:

                Heated?

                I just use the microwave in the baby change room next to Coles. So same thing…

                  @jv: Ahhhh well, that explains most of your behaviour.. eating pies covered with fecal matter floating around the room surely has an effect on your brain..

                    @billyb67: It helps build your immune system (and saves money…)

    Always had a good mung on the pies and sausage rolls. The ricotta and spinach one is nice too

  • are these not as fresh? that's why i-t's discounted?

  • Tried the new plant based pie the other day and it was really nice! Keen to see how the sausage roll holds up against the absolute winner that is the Pie Face plant based sausage roll.

  • What! 3 bucks for one tiny pastry! No way..

  • +5

    Their "premium" pies (Slow Cooked Beef Pie 220g) is $5. The plant based pie is $4.

    That's what I'll target, otherwise the regular ones are $3.50 from memory.

    Haven't had one for many months.

  • I dread to know the original prices

    • Have a look at PoKGuy's comment above

    Their hot food is a lot better value that the stuff from BP and Coles Express.

    Plus they don't charge for sauce. One of my pet hates when they charge 50c for this.

    • Because the sauce is bundled in with the product with tax, so expect 2.40$

  • Shame there is not 7-eleven in Darwin

    • There's no artificial filling up there, it's all native and authentic not down below, it's all fake and mixed.

  • +4

    They have good pies.

    Dominos pizza $5

      • Temporary $3 you mean.

        • Temporary? Care to elaborate?

        • -1

          Oh mean the tiny child pizza for 3$ ahh I m talking about a large $5 pizza, maybe you should relay to 7-11 about those tiny pizzas on sale pizza hut can fill ya all up at the same time, might take a long time tho.

  • The bacon & egg burrito was revolting and insulting, even when it was $2.
