    Does it come with free endless harrassing calls from the sales staff as well?

    • If anyone signs up for this, use a fake phone number. Or else you'll get what yada is alluding to.

      • and a fake email address

        email address and phone number go into their database.
        name is the only info you enter that actually makes it onto the guest pass.

  • yeah, make sure fake number address and maybe fake name :D

    fitness first is the devil!

  • Signed up and gave them my number. I welcome them to waste time trying to get me to pay for a membership.

    Also you do realise you can ask them (better to do it in writing), to remove your phone number and email address from their database and to not contact you again. If/when they do, you just report them for spamming.

      Hmm spend 2 seconds making up fake details, or try and take down a major company by wasting a few minutes of their time or going through the process of making a formal request to have details removed from a database. I think I know which solution I would prefer.

      • Oh I can waste more than minutes of their time.

        • Well good for you bro. My time is more valuable than yours it seems.

  • i'm not subscribed to daily tele tho, will i be still able to get it?

  • May I suggest, to all considering joining fitness first, a few points.
    I have recently joined as a "passport" member (implying that I'm able to use any club in Australia).

    The 2 weeks free is offered mostly as standard; you will get 2 weeks for free if you join regardless of whether this offer is made public (I suppose the liberty this offer suggests is that you don't have to join at the end of it).

    Having said that, when I did join I:
    1- Extended the "free" period from 2 to 4 weeks;
    2- Requested the ($79) joining fee to be waved;
    3- Requested a monthly membership fee discount by $30 per month;
    4- Requested 5 free personal-training sessions (depending on the contract you sign, you might get up to 3 free personal-training sessions);
    5- Requested a longer "grace" period for cancellation purposes. I don't envisage cancelling my membership, but their cancellation policies are almost impossible to break, and I wanted an option, at least at the beginning.

    If you try to join at the end of the month, prior to their quotas needed to be submitted by, they might be a lot more ready to negotiate to your terms, instead of you to theirs!

    The clubs themselves, whilst heavily marketed and showing the appearance of a corporate environment rather than a consumer-focused service, are mostly great, with adequate facilities and constant assistance across all sites.

    ** Edit: Yes. Expect a few phone calls at the beginning of your membership, or when you fill out this form. As long as you're firm (and potentially rude) on saying you're not interested in joining, they'll leave you be.
