    Spent half an hour at Officeworks, tried to have one, had four in stocks. Wouldn’t price match told me it was not for the max only for the hub. Tried to explain then the website removed it so no luck. Mentioned other stores that had price matched refused.

      Same here. Asked a clerk who took me over there and said they have a few. Asked him to price match at which point he scratched his head at the ridiculous price and directed me to his manager… who didn’t even wait for me to open my mouth before saying “we’re out of stock, just sold my last one 20min ago”.
      Yeah… uh huh.

      If you’re not willing to honour your own price match policy, don’t bother having it.

    Rushed into officeworks after confirming they had one on the phone, got there and good guys pulled the link down so I couldn't price match, was spewing, would have been a great mother's day pressie! Nice work to everyone that picked one up!

    I price matched in store at Officeworks. I spotted another OzBargainer (we were the first two customers in as soon as the store opened) and both of us proceeded straight to the checkout for a successful price beat. Expecting my Good Guys pick up order to be cancelled.

            @jackary: Wouldn't be surprised if someone purchased 11 to make $30-$40 per unit on ebay (doubt they make much more after fees/shipping/others also selling so price dropping to $200-$220). Lots of selfish pricks around unfortunately.

              @AjsGuns: Think you’ve hit the nail on the head… I’m all for others using a bit of initiative to score a deal or even make a bit of money on the side reselling… but surely that can be done in a more equitable way. OW could easily plug this hole by adding a condition to their price beat terms excluding the matching of commercial quantities of items.

              I am however becoming increasingly convinced the stock wasn’t reserved at all, they were just withholding it from sale.

    Came late to the party, called ow trying to price beat and the guy said “checked 10 mins ago the listings were pulled” so they reckon it as a price error. Also bought one on eBay last night and am expecting some cancellation emails from TGG now. Glad that I saved some $$ at least :-(

    Just went to office works and they wont price match. Then went to TGG as i had successfully placed my order for a click and collect and they adived the order wont be processed as its a price error.

    Wasted a lot of energy grrr… lol

      Happens to all of us, over and over again, not sure its our greed or their incompetence, that wasted all our time and money. A class action lawsuit should be levied. In the US, they will honor these, otherwise they get sue for false advertisement.

    Well they’re still going to lose money. Thousands of orders via PayPal won’t refund credit card fees. Cost price is $249 so they would be taking huge losses

    Just received a call from TGG, all orders are being cancelled due to a “glitch on the website” - pushed the operator on the fact that it’s advertised in a physical catalogue, wasn’t having it. Was also told no gift card for the muck around. Ordered @ 7am. A little gutted I didn’t faff about trying to find one at a local OW because I’d have loved one… but GG TGG!

    @ 930. price matched at JB HiFi for $129, took a print out of the catalogue and TGG webpage, still had the page on my phone.
    Even though he looked it up he still provided the price, no questions, left him with the printed page so he doesn't get reamed too much.

    If you print in wrong in the catalog that is an error if you then put that price up on ebay store that too might be considered an error then if you have it up in three places at the same price thats not an error thats just f*&ked up and not good.

    Another classic TGG pricing error. Luckily as it was printed in the catalogue my local OW price beat it anyway, they just looked up the catalogue on the TGG website themselves and price beat it even though they said it was obviously an error.

        Just got a call from local Good Guys. They have advised that they have cancelled my online order (to deliver) and they have about 50 people to call to them the same thing. Quick to take the money but advised 5 to 10 working days. Perhaps a small cash raise for them?
