  • This or the eero 6+ (non pro) that is on sale at the moment?
I purchased the eero’s but they have not arrived yet. Wondering if I should return and get these

      • Hey mate,
Thanks for the link. I read that before but I think that’s comparing the pro version of the eero. The one I got was just the 6+

        • +1

          Best for:

eero 6+: Budget-conscious users with moderate connectivity needs or those already invested in the Amazon ecosystem.

    • The eeros are rock solid, no need to upgrade to these. they will use the wide band as backhall and have better range, you made the right choice.

      • What is this "wide band" of which you speak?

  • im using the previous gen google wifi mesh and i think they're awesome as you can mange from your phone and the router and wifi points are also speakers you can play music on. I'd offload my old for this if i could be bothered.

    • There is no in-built speaker in pro version.

  • I think google nest is just as good as the nest Pro.
If your trying to get more speed it's not a guarantee.

  • Does anybody know if the new nest wifi pro have issues with dropouts? I have the 3 pack of the nest wifi and the 2 wifi points seem to just go offline whenever they want and you have to unplug and re-plug them to bring them back. Really grinds my gears.

  • One of the best mesh routers I have ever owned, and I’ve owned many. Highly recommend.

  • Any thoughts on these compared to the TP-LINK Deco BE25 BE5000?

    • Deco is:
      Same price
      WiFi 7 but not 6GHz
      2.5Gb Ethernet
Only 2 units, but much better expandability options

Might be better in the future when WiFi 7 devices are common and if you get enough coverage with 2 units (and use wired backhaul.)

Another - cheaper and maybe better - option is https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/870083. (Back on sale.)
      There's also https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/877595.

I don't think much of the Nest - there's nothing 'pro' about it. Eg. NAT can't be disabled if using more than one unit in AP mode (with a seperate router.) Ridiculous.
