One for AFL fans! Pick up inside Gate 3 at the M.C.G., or at Fed Square.
To commemorate grand final day at the MCG, the Melbourne Cricket Club (MCC) has again commissioned Australian artist Bob Shields to create a magnificent poster of footy moments that have captured the imagination of fans throughout the 2011 AFL season.
The MCG Grand Final Poster is truly a collectors’ item. Some of the notable events highlighted include:
• Substitute rule
• The big dollars offered to Tom Scully to move to GWS
• Malthouse’s last season before Nathan Buckley takes over
• The sling tackle
• Olivia Newton John and Jim Stynes entertaining the pre match crowds
• Harry O'Brien meets the Dalai Lama
• Sacked coaches
• AFL player salary negotiations v Demetriou
• Shane Warne and Norm Smith statues
• Water recycling facility in Yarra Park
• The Scott brothers coaching against each other
• Hird, Voss, Ricciuto, Buckley and Charlton’s inclusion in Australian Football Hall of Fame
• Jack Riewoldt spitting the dummy on the sidelines

The free poster will be available inside Gate 3 at the MCG from Monday September 26. It will also be available at the AFL Grand Final Live Site at Federation Square from the same date.
