Footloose
Ren MacCormack (Kenny Wormald) is transplanted from Boston to the small southern town of Bomont where he experiences a heavy dose of culture shock. A few years prior, the community was rocked by a tragic accident that killed five teenagers after a night out and Bomont’s local councilmen and the beloved Reverend Shaw Moore responded by implementing ordinances that prohibit loud music and dancing. Not one to bow to the status quo, Ren challenges the ban, revitalising the town and falling in love with the minister’s troubled daughter Ariel (Julianne Hough) in the process.

        • lmao

  • Saw the movie last night as well. There were plenty of people around me laughing at all the right spots and thoroughly enjoying it - basically it is a well-made, if formulaic, american teen romance film (without vampires for a change), but pleasant enough. The fact that I had seen the original a couple of times diluted the experience too much for me. I guess I really should stay away from remakes.

  • I also saw it last night. I personally hated the movie, but I expected to anyway. Only got the tickets to make the wife happy and she loved it. So get some tickets for the woman in your life and tell her to take her friends instead of you.

    • Uhh…I'm a woman and I thought this movie sucked. Might wanna check yo gender stereotypes, mister.

  • I saw it last night too and thought it was great! The George street screening was almost full house and alot of laughs! I guess it was really good because I never saw the original, I don't have anything to compare it to but I definitely want to see the original now. The song is so catchy! Footloose Footloose~
