Used to love eating out viet in sunshine, i guess take away will have to do now.
Increased from what? did you look at the menu? The dishes on offer here are different to the previous specials. The value may not be as good, but it's still cheaper than what you would usually pay. So that's still a bargain in my books

Yes according to woolies, the 10kg not even available online any more, so the biggest bag is this for a whooping $20. Sunrice says that they can NOT keep up with demand hence they sourcing their rice from Asia. Major exporters already cut their quota, you know the reason. Global famine may not be far away …
So unless this shop has a bigass field that grow rice 4 times a year, then I think it is a bargain.

Quite a few syd cbd restaurants are doing takeaway offers ranging from $7-$15. Wish there was a place where I can find all of them listed!
eatclub is a pretty good start imo
Eatclub is good for flat %discount, but they don't have stores which have periodic set menu takeaway discount, especially in light of COVID-19. I have found quite a few which just post on Facebook or have a sign in front of the store and they don't a discount on eatclub/ritual/heyyou/skip/menulog/ubereats/deliveroo/doordash.
How can you call this is a Viet menu when it doesn't even have Pho on it?!

I tried their previous deal, rice with grilled pork and pork sausage @8.50
Look, I get it that it was cheap but really it was only worth 8.50 max, grilled pork was thin and the sausage reminds me of spam.
I will give grilled pork dish another go, hopefully with the price increase, the quality will also improve..
The grilled pork is traditionally served thin. In Vietnam they don't use knives or forks so the grilled pork needs to be thin and tender enough to be cut with a spoon. If people want more meat then they ask for an extra slice. The thicker cuts at some places you see in Australia are just adapted to Western decadence standards. It's meant to be an inexpensive meal for the common people, usually costing around 20k vnd or $1.50 aud in Vietnam.
the sausage reminded me more of a burger than spam.
It was slightly sweet whereas spam is salty and has less texture.
I am eating this right as i type this.
It was fast and easy pick up.
Portion serving I received is massive.
Great taste, I'm tempted to have for dinner some time this week.
Yes definitely get the 9.80 deal much better and bigger serving.
