First time poster.
Not a C9, but seems to be a decent deal in any case. Cheapest it's been for a while.
For those in the market for an OLED, this could be a great option.

I was looking at the C9 this morning and saw the B9 being advertised. I really hope the C9 goes on sale again soon as I also feel the price for the C9 was close to what the B9 is now.
Yea to be honest it was a hard sell spending $2600+ on a tv for me, at that price I wouldn't settle for anything less than the C9 given it's been that price multiple times in the last few months alone.
Not sure why my comment got negged. I don't think this is a good deal, but didn't want to neg the deal.
When was the C9 this cheap?
Multiple times, before Xmas, after Xmas. Just search here.
Postage shows as $68 for me
Updated to reflect that it's plus postage as it appears postage varies and not a flat rate.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't the c9 a b9 with better speakers?
Significantly better speakers, also brighter screen, much faster CPU, and hdmi 2.1 support I believe. If it helps, the C9 speakers are so good, I sold my soundbar.
HDTVTest:
Summary of advantages the C9 (picture wise) has:
cleaner near blacks
clearer shadow detail
higher peak brightness
I would go B9 without question IF it was closer to $2k.
Thanks for the clarification
B9 also lists HDMI 2.1 support on its spec sheet. From rtings:
The B9 is advertised to support HDMI 2.1, but with no HDMI 2.1 sources currently available, we can't test it. We will retest and update the review once an HDMI 2.1 source becomes commercially available.
Anyone else really annoyed to hear the 48" model isn't coming to Australia!?!! Was definitely going to buy one and use as my new monitor… but might wait for samsungs micro led line up instead.
Yea I wouldn't use it as a monitor, I'm nervous enough using it for gaming. Micro Led would be better for this, although will be so much more $$$ and who knows when it will be avail ;-)
What!? For real!? Was waiting to do just the same…
LG told me on their FB page that there's no worries using one as a monitor. I'd want an extended warranty and a quick set screensaver just in case though. Oh and I thought microled were going to be cheaper???
yep this was also going to be my pc monitor for gaming/video. im still hoping it will come here, but its not looking good
I have no idea what to get instead now, because theres nothing close to its performance for the price. Asus have a mini LED backlit 32" monitor coming out one day, but itll cost almost twice what the 48"cx would have.
The new one is coming out LG 65" CX 4K - replacing C9.
wait for the C9 clearance sale - there ought to be some heavy discount later on. Although you probably have to be QUICK. (PLEASE LEAVE ONE FOR ME Ozbargainers)
They will leave c9 around for a while to fill the price gap. Will be almost $2k cheaper than cx.
Haven’t been following tv models since buying a new one last year and kind of regret not buying an OLED
Any major differences or improvements over the C9?
I'm waiting for the CX but will have a whole to go since RRP is $5400. Probably 6 or so months to hit the magic $4k I hope …
Same price I paid for the C9 65 delivered :-D
I was looking at the B9 but at the time it was closer to $2300
