Advertised online as $1188 (down from $1599) + delivery costs
Have been trying to decide between the AU66, AU65 and the AU64 for a few days now and not sure if this helps or hinders.

1 & 2
-1 and -2
Energy ratings are one that stood out to me as well as the 66 and 64 being newer models.
66 - 9 star energy rating -129 kWh
65 - 7 star energy rating - 160 kWh
64 - 8 star energy rating - 152 kWh
I know I sound like a noob, but what is the real world cost of that difference if you use it, say 2-3 times/week?
Compare with the stars not the cost, which change from state to state. Have a closer look of the star rating, it tells you how they measure it.
The main difference is the type of refrigerant used. The 64 and 66 use a more efficient refrigerant which gives them their better energy rating over the 65. It is a little bit "greener" too.
I believe the display is a bit different between the 64/66 and 65 too. Otherwise, not much else.
In real world practical use the different between 7 and 9 star ratings isn't a lot unless you were cranking it every day. $1188 is a great price for a German made high-end heat pump dryer, you've already saved way more than the difference in energy costs from using a more expensive 8 or 9 star dryer. It means you can chuck your towels in guilt-free and keep them fresh, rather than letting them hang damp overnight.
Everything @Astronaut Joe said.
you can view compare here.

are there washer dryer combos using heat pump technology? all the combos I could find don't specify drying technology at all.
they exist but are super expensive. Heat pumps are expensive on their own.
For example https://www.thegoodguys.com.au/lg-signature-twinwash-dual-wa…
Washer dryer combos use water for both cycles and are very thirsty machines. The ones you talk about are $$$$$$$$
$1146 if you have access to their commercial portal
How can I get access?
Depends on where you work, your workplace might have an agreement (with TGG) which allows you access.
What are the 64 and 66 showing up for on CP?
WTW87564AU $1590.00
WTW87566AU $1776.00
How long does it take for the 9 star energy rating to be worth the initial cost 🤔
@Bellpop: https://www.energyrating.gov.au/calculator
Try this! About 14 years for the 66 based on my usage assumptions, yours may be different though.
@nickeveli: Yikes. Playing the long game. Thanks mate.
@nickeveli: Such a good tool.. Im not wondering if its even worth to buy heat pump which i was so inclined to given it takes longer to dry and saves you so very little annually ..
@Bellpop: https://www.thegoodguys.com.au/lg-8kg-heat-pump-dryer-dvh4-0… Check this one mate. Looks inexpensive for a 9 star… I am going there today to check it face to face (live in Qld) so can do shopping and it’s next door to the plaza.
Apparently it's in backorder. Ordered AU64 in the previous deal, but that's what's shown as status
i have a bosch washing machine. sh1ts all over my previous washer
Sounds like your new washer has the runs.
is that u dad? been waiting for u to come back for 17 years
Anyone k ow anything about wall mounting one of these? Tricky? Leave it to a handy man?
Heat pump dryers weigh in the order of 50kg so unless you have really strong studs, and can lift 50kg to mount them, these aren't like your typical vented dryer.
They're usually paired with a front loader washer, which is stackable on top of a heat pump dryer.
ThNks got the heads up mate. Good to know.
This to turn off the beeping when washing is complete:

Thank me later.
Thank you a million times!
https://www.thegoodguys.com.au/lg-8kg-heat-pump-dryer-dvh4-0… This seems to be a brand new model from LG. Good guys commercial has them for under a 1000 bucks! 9 star, heat pump. Sounds like a good deal. Since it’s brand new, no reviews are there. I am not sure whether it’s a promotional price. 8kg 9 star from a brand like LG seems to be cheap if not I am missing something with it’s tech..
FWIW when I bought this today it scanned as $1155. Thought I was being overcharged to start with.
I just picked it up for $1130 at gg frankston. Seems like this will be a discontinued product moving forward.
I've got an order for the 64 should I change to the 65?
Is this still available if i go to the effort of getting a good guys commercial login?
Great price. What is the difference between the 66, 65 and 64?
