And?
Oh cool! Could you please list all the different board games we could get for $1835 next?
One fantasy flight game
Because all a PC can do is play games?
You dense?
How many jigsaw puzzles is that?
I thought that was jv for a second
Not enough down votes to be a JV post.
Do dell gaming pc's use the founder's edition version of the cards? That's what it looks like in the images at least
Usually some OEM style card, at least in the 1060 PC I bought for a friend last year.
No monitors, lame. 27" ultrasharp is in my future.
Thanks, but looking for an ebay discounted one for salary sacrifice at ~$800 before discount. Also, looking at the step down from the Q model. i.e. UltraSharp U2719DC. Otherwise spying an ASUS PB278QR but they aren't very pretty! Looking for good colour gamut as it will be combined design/photo/gaming, and 5ms doesn't bother me.
Haha, no worries. Yeah the DC's are what I'm after as well but in 24 inch. 27 is a bit overkill for me
@Nuggets: Bah.
27 is a toy.
you can salary sacrifice a monitor? often it's only laptops…
@fredblogs: My workplace is allowing work from home devices to be sacrificed - keyboard/mouse combo, monitors. Temporary only.
Same, clicked on their "Monitors" button to get greeted by:
0 results found for monitor
Your search returned 0 items.I'm looking for an Ultrasharp too. Thought this was my lucky day till I ran the search.
Is the 2 in 1 laptop "Dell Vostro 14 5490 10th Gen i5-10210U" for $1025 a reasonable price?
Comes down to $AU $1,224.00
I was looking for the cheapest setting version one Gen i5-10210U which only has intel graphic card. Not sure need to get the better graphic card version one for basic gaming?
It is not 2 in 1, my mistake.
Two days go when I checked, the Lenovo E14 with the same i5-10210U and customised to 16GB of RAM came to $994.50 (although it said it would ship in 4-5 weeks). Don't have time to check right now if there any any other differences.
Where from?
From Lenovo Australia's website but it looks like the price has gone up now.
Would be awesome if it would work with this Amex deal. Other PayPal payments have worked with Amex deals in the past even though it says website purchases only but might be worth a try for those already looking to buy.
I'm kinda frightened by the 460W psu
agreed, doesnt a rtx 2070 have a min requirement of a 550w psu?
There's not much more wiggle room for more power hunry parts down the road, but a good 460 watt PSU is actually adequate for the RTX 2070 SUPER. Dell fortunately doesn't use crappy power supplies in their gaming systems, so you can expect your system to work reliably.
Also, Dell's OEM parts have locked BIOS's which prevents people from overclocking their systems, so they don't have to factor in extra power needed during overclocking.
Me too. They even have it installed on the Rtx 2080 Dell deal.
Looking at the G7 15" with the RTX2070, its a pretty good deal for about 2k after the discounts? are there any other brands selling comparable laptops at this price range? I havent bought a laptop/desktop for about 9 years so this will be a significant upgrade..
nvm bit the bullet, all comparable laptops seem to be at $2600++.
Bear in mind it wl be built and shipped from malaysia, average is 2 to 3 weeks delivery
Congrats on the new lappy!thanks mate! i didnt know it was shipped from Malaysia, that explains the 22-29 Apr delivery date which I thought was a bit slow…
That particular model is a pretty sharp deal.
In a similar boat - was looking at the same machine but seems like the RAM is pretty low compared to the rest of the specs?
16GB DDR4 2666MHz is reasonable, but can be upgraded to 32GB.
Oh yes - sorry I thought I saw 8gb but that was on the RTX2060 model
Should I buy this or wait for a Ryzen 4000 laptop?
I placed an order for that G7, however it's gone into DisappearLand. Order placed 3 April, went to "Postage Info Received" 9 April with indicated delivery around 23 April. Never changed from the Postage Info Received status and never received any updates about delays. Put in a case with eBay, not received and full refund requested.
Dell responded blaming Covid-19, saying they're facing logistical challenges and throwing guesstimate delivery dates at me. Disappointing, proceeding with refund.
I cant apply the code to any Dell items for some reason, can anyone else? is it Plus only thing?
Log out of eBay and log back in, making sure you're using an Australian ebay account and not NZ / US / UK acc.
Thank you scrimshaw, I changed my country settings and it worked :)
Install f.lux
Blue screen gone!
Cracked me up AHHAHAHAH
I'd wait for AMD to saturate the laptop market.
INTEL is dead.
same but gonna be at least another year
Dell G7 15 Gaming Laptop 9th Gen Intel i7 9750H 16GB RAM 512GB RTX2070 240Hz
for $2079 seems pretty good!Link?
Think to buy Dell's extended warranty when you purchase the laptop, because it will be cheaper.
For mine, it was $249.99 for extending 3 years premium warranty, if you buy it at the time you purchase the laptop.
My case: after 1 year, the warranty is ended, and I asked for the extended warranty, they sent me the quote for $500 for 3 years (it's double), I don't agree, they reduced it to $396. I still thought it's unfair as it's still very high comparing to $249.99, I made a complaint and was able to talk with the higher manager (or a senior staff), and I got another quote $310 for 3 years. Now I'm thinking about that price.
How does this compare with the other Tech Fast deals around this price mark?
I am no expert, but with this you will have windows installed and 1 year support/ warranty plus can extend it per below
(I asked, you need to contact to add extra warranty so can create listing for you to purchase)PREMIUM SUPPORT: 24x7 next business day onsite support by expert technicians for hardware and software issues, as well as proactive notification of PC issues before you are aware of them
2Years Premium Support and Onsite Service [add $180.00]
3Years Premium Support and Onsite Service [add $181.99]
4Years Premium Support and Onsite Service [add $238.03]PREMIUM SUPPORT PLUS: Get all of the benefits of Premium Support as well as accidental damage cover, virus removal and automated PC optimisation using Dell’s automated SupportAssist technology
3Y Premium Support Plus and Onsite Service [add $293.99]
4Y Premium Support Plus and Onsite Service [add $378.00]
How does this compare to the Razer Blade 15 Advanced Model 2019?
That would cost a fortune with similar specs.
CODE PDLAP20 DOES NOT WORK! I tried using the code on both the select desktop and laptop deals from Dell.
works fine, make sure you're using a au account, try logging out & back in
My address is Australian, and I signed out and signed, yet giving me the error.
not sure, I tried works fine, contact eBay
@RogueWolf: It tells me that "This code can't be applied to your order." I will be paying through paypal, and my paypal is an aus account.
@AngelfireSnake89: quickest way just contact eBay they'll sort it out
@RogueWolf: I have contacted them. Awaiting response.
Also, the deal does not mention which motherboard is being used.
@AngelfireSnake89: i am getting the same error, it says the code cant be applied to your order. How come ebay customer support cannot be contacted anymore, there is no option for emailing or calling them. The only option is chat which currently is closed? How do other people contact ebay as the deal will end tonight ?
@RogueWolf,
Mate, is this upgradable, If I wanted to add 2 16GB sticks and make it a 32 BB ram, or is there space on the board to add an extra 16 Gig ram stick ?Can anyonw who has bought it please update ?
pretty sure its upgradable, any questions go on dell online chat right hand side middle of screen will see a blue "chat or call now" tab", but wouldn't upgrade through dell, cheaper to buy your own ram
The following is a copy of my conversation with one of eBay Dell Australia's customer representative. Bear in mind that it was regarding the i9-9900 + RTX 2080 version of the Dell G5 Gaming System. I might hopefully be receiving it between 23-30 April.
ME:
Yes I was able to fix the code issue through Ebay's customer support.
I am currently looking at and interested in the Intel i9-9900 + RTX 2080 version of the G5 gaming desktop: https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/New-Dell-G5-Gaming-Desktop-9th-I…
I have some questions like whether there's any cooling system in place for the CPU, and if so then what kind of cooling system? Which motherboard is being used for this system?
What concerns me is the 460W power supply unit. Is it possible to have this upgraded to a 550W 80 + Gold Standard? Also, is it possible to have the RAM upgraded to 16GB 3200MHz instead of the 2666Mhz?
Looking forward to your kind response, thank you.
Customer Representative:
Thank you for your follow-up email.
The unit is built with an Air Cooling System (65W CPU cooler). It also comes with an H370 chipset.
Regarding the upgrade requests, we can offer upgrades on the warranty and software of our machines through a custom listing on eBay. However, all our items have fixed compatibility and hardware hence, we are to make any upgrades to the hardware components to any of our machines. Apologies for this.
You may be able to upgrade the unit by yourself in the future but we highly encourage for you to go through a certified Dell service centre or through our Technical Support, to ensure that the parts added are compatible with the unit.
We are sorry we are unable to assist further as we would not want to give the wrong advice.
Out of the loop with current laptops atm but is the $1025 14" Vostro any good just for productivity / uni work?
i5-10210U/W10Pro/8GB/256GB M2/14" FHD/USB 3.1 C DP/PD
Or are there better deals for no bigger than 14" laptops?
Would like to know too

For a budget gaming option this seems to be a solid deal. 6gb vram, 16gb ram, i7 , 512gb ssd for circa $1500
Yes it is a great deal.
Theres also a RTX2060 model for around the same price, with less RAM and Less Storage, which can be easily upgraded yourself, but unsure if the upgrade from 1660 to 2060 is significant enough. I ended up biting the bullet and spending about 2k for the 2070 model, but i havent upgraded for about 9 years so i justified it to myself.
It seems to be out of stock.
$1780 with ShopBack (3% return)
Does anyone know if Dell Ebay Store accepts Ebay egift cards as payment. I found out the hard way that Bing Lee Ebay store doesn't and don't want to be in the same predicament with Dell. Thanks
I found out the hard way that Bing Lee Ebay store doesn't
Wow really? How can they not? Maybe it was due to the $1500 single transaction limit?
My desktop pc has been delayed twice, which was to be originally delivered to me by the 23rd of April. Got two emails, one saying delayed to 29th April, then another saying delayed to 5th May, and they haven't started building it yet. Dunno what's going on.
Delayed another week. Email says "We are sorry to inform you of an additional delay to your recent order. Please contact us if you don’t receive your order by: may. 12, 2020."
FML!
I'm still waiting on my laptop as well. I would assume they're fulfilled by different areas of the company, but I haven't received any communication at all. I was only really able to figure out my order number via eBay. I can't log in to Dell and track it properly since I don't have a customer number, which is apparently sent from Dell. Kind of a weird mysterious process. I bought this almost a month ago now and I don't even have any communication from Dell about it. At least you've received something, I guess :( I've got a support request open with them now. It's been sitting there for two days with no action, so I guess they're slammed. Fingers crossed you get it soon!
I don't even know why they were accepting orders when they didn't have stock in hand. When you try calling them, you wait in queue for 40+ mins, and when you get connected to a customer representative, the call drops immediately. Has happened twice.
I was able to get the email address from one of them to let them know that I have decided to cancel the order. This is my first and last time with Dell, never again will I go for them.
There's even a risk of getting a system that could be dud on arrival (which has happened to others), and returning that and getting a fixed one would take even longer. Not worth it.
I got myself a gaming laptop instead (expensive but much much better) which is being couriered to me from somebody in Melbourne.
Oh cool. Hopefully that works out well for you :) Sorry to hear you had a really bad experience. I do find it frustrating that any pc manufactorer will sell builds as if they're made, but they're actually not :/
Stuck in same boat, refund requested.
