      As chrysilis mentions, Qantas started off as an acronym. Grammar specifies how the parts of a sentence fit together, and doesn't specify how words are spelt. A nonsense sentence like:

      Blue quarks dream furiously

      is perfectly grammatical.

  I deliberated whether to put this up thinking is this really a bargain? More an alert I guess….As long as it was helpful to one or more people.

  Yes it is free to join via WoW, but wasn't free to join up directly with Qantas.

  To join directly (https://www.qantas.com.au/fflyer/dyns/joinff) there still is a $82.50 fee.
  [I think I recall some kind of a minimum age too, although I can't find it now in their Ts&Cs].

  But with your link I was able to sign up my 1 year old baby no probs, and for free!

    Just did a google on minimum age, and this blog has lots of comments about people being able to register their infants. http://www.australianfrequentflyer.com.au/community/qantas-f…

    So maybe it was blocked a few years ago, but available now.
