Besides pay extra for both delivery or click and collect. Not worth the effort for either.
Buy something else so as to make the total above threshold. When you go and collect your stuff, return the additional things. Thus, you don't pay anything for shipping / C&C.
That's very unOzBargain. Wasting time and fuel to go out to buy stuff I don't need, returning it for refunds and getting something I don't need.
Not a bad idea for those who actually need it ;)

But if the objective is to save shipping, then the workaround is pretty ok in my opinion.
