wouldn't it be called refurbished if it has been repaired?
Thanks! This is where I got confused.
From the 2nd world website
FACTORY 2ND
Appliances in perfect working order, they may have a cosmetic blemish, be factory reworked, an ex display model, or just have a 'tiny ding' incurred during transit.
Yes I would only consider a factory second to be an item with some blemishes. But does factory reworked mean a previously repaired product?
got this brand new $840
from where? sound cheap for 50" thats very big tv
The Good Guys
i will never ever buy 2nd hand.
Not sure of the Model Number, but HN had 50" Pana advertised for $799 this week on TV.
r u sure it full hd
In other words, 2ndsworld is offering a 20% discount on new stock.
Fantastic deal!! I considered buying this yesterday, but bought it at Myer today for $780 (after their one day discount $10 off every $75 spend). CNet rate this as a very good entry level Full HD, so I would recommend this to anyone looking to upgrade or buy.
How did you get it for that price at Myer? I saw their TV ad and they're advertising it for $899.
$10 off every $75 spend.
why buy this second hand for $695 (with shipping )?. a brand new is only $884 delivered from videopro.sorry!no deal.as spliniter said you can bargain down to $840 or even lower at jb or the good guys.

not bad. saw a 50" samsung full hd plasma at JBHIFI today, but it was also 3D and down to $999!
TV's are getting so cheap now.
As soon as I can get a very nice 32"-40" TV for $300 I will bite and mount it on the wall at the end of my bed.
My plan exactly. Around $300 for a 32-40" and mount it on the wall at the end of my bed!!
Would like to wait for a LED preferably with USB!!
Might be a while, but am willing to wait though… but just not sure where to start for a wall mount! Obviously not going to buy it at a highly inflated price they sell at the big chains. Do you know how much you'd be expecting to pay for a wall mount?
Why wait? Kogan has a slim 32" LED (50Hz) with USB and PVR for $327.
I did order the 100Hz version for $328 but apparently they went out of stock and I cancelled my order.
kogan is not equal to very nice lol haha
How have your experiences been with 2ndsworld. My first order was really good (good price and fast delivery). My second order was totally messed up- confirmed shipping, then told no stock, unauthorised extra CC charge for another product I didnt ask for, refund, failure to cancel shipping and much more. Their tech support tried hard but had no clue about what was happening!!
Not bad but HN sells them for $799 brand new.
Can you please link to the HN deal or attach a copy of the receipt for it? I know they sell the X30, which is not full HD for $799.

This is a great deal ! I ended up buying one this morning.I've previously bought from this crowd before and went through without a hitch. The item I bought previously was actually a panasonic bluray home theatre system so looks like its going to work out just great with the new tv :) The one harvey norman is advertising for $799 is definitely not this model. The model they're selling is a non 1080p panel.
If a customer returns a faulty TV during a warranty period and the manufacturer decides to replace it with a new one and repair the former for resale, is that also considered factory second? I know it sounds silly that if it can be repaired , the manufacturer wouldn't replace it with a new one anyway, but just for example sake as I'm pretty sure that factory seconds are more than just imperfect packaging?
