well its not a "barber's" seat its kind of like some kinda lounge furniture,
they wipe you down with a kitchen sponge, not a brush.
but can't complain its $9. I get my hair done there every now and then too :)
seems a bit more upmarket than your average barber which gives you a cheap and boring cut

I think Jimmy Rods has big plans for expansion, he might go into Sydney :) People seem to click with the old-school traditional style barber store. With everywhere else trying to offer you some new swanky metro style, he's found a good niche. He has 5 stores in Brisbane i believe.
I am waiting for one of these group buy sites to make a really good deal for a salon like Toni and Guy. I want to get a nice new haircut and thinking of going there to get it done, but their cuts are about $80-$90 normally.
problem with group by is that they see you have a coupon and do an average job to try make some of the cash back.
unless you get to show them the coupon at the end im a bit dubious of them.. I know at the dodgy brizillian we had issues.
I do agree with you that this is the case in some group buy deals. A big part of stopping it is in careful selection with the businesses we work with, group buying is meant to be a win-win for everybody. I can personally vouch for Jimmy (James), he heads up the CBD store where this deal is at. He's a great guy and would always give it 100%
