  • Need to buy a new blender, but can't decide if Kitchen Blender type or Single Serve Blender. We already own a food processor. WIll use for smoothies and pasta sauces mainly. Any experience from people out there what you use most?

      $32 at Kmart

      https://www.kmart.com.au/product/mini-blender-with-bottles/9…

This one has the individual cups and a larger blender container

I just bought this one replacing the one I bought from Aldi about 10 years ago and it’s essentially exactly the same

We use this one regularly , it’s very useful for making single smoothies and the bits fit easily in the dishwasher without taking up allthe space

      • Awesome thank you, will have a look!

I wonder why they don't sell the version with the oxygen vacuum.

    • +2

Rumour has it that they figure it's not needed as they have sucked enough oxygen out of us from dodgy concierge discounted gift cards, dishonoured TCL TV deals, and their good mate Jack over at eBay.

  • I just bought from Kogan last week. Haven't used. Does anyone know their (Kogan's) return policy?

It seems the answer is "not possible"

  • How’s this compare to something like a vitamix ?

    • +1

apples v oranges. you can't compare.
Vitamix ascent models have a 10 year warranty.
Blending with Henry does a really good comparison on youtube:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jNxZK0H5umg Its worth watching the full 15 mins

If you are serious bout having a heavy duty blender that does the job for at least a decade stump up for the vitamix. Its worth it. Basic ascents are available on sale for about $630.

      • Thanks peter. I’ve actually owned the vitamix for 7 years and it’s been great. But whenever I try and make a small smoothie it’s too aerated. The blades are too close to the surface and it sucks in air.

NutriBullet design looks better for small smoothies but if it can’t compare to the vitamix I’m not sure id use it anyway haha.

Vitamix has a similar set up with their new models that have the upside down single serve container, but after having forked out $800 already it’s a tall order to do it again.

    • +1

Vitamix is way too expensive for what it is, nearly 10 times the price! Especially when you can get something similar at this price (or go for the 1200w model). I've had a nutribullet for about 8 years and still going strong.

  • Does anyone know how this compares to other bullet style blenders, like https://www.kogan.com/au/buy/kogan-1000w-8-piece-rocket-blen…

    Worth the difference in price?
