    causal computing

    Sounds to a reasonable deal

    • the two aren't necessarily correlated.

      • That’s no excuse

    • i once had a client. he bought the previous gen, M72. installed win 10 pro, run it @ 24/7 with an internet connection. he did not specify how much load it was typically under. i presume it was not idle. was he using them to monitor something or what, i cannot recall now. his complaint was, sometimes he noticed in the morning that the pc had restarted during the night. i suppose that was the oppsite of causal computing then.

Hi, looking at buying one of your laptops. They have a 3 months warranty. If you have a problem, say after 8 weeks, send it back for repair and get it back 2 weeks later, what cover does the fixed laptop have? Thanks.

No reply? Maybe I should buy elsewhere.

      • Thanks for the negs.

If the OP can't answer my question how can I make an informed purchasing decision.

Note this seller has no telwphone number and isn't exactly transparent when it comes to their location, etc.

        Keep on negging!!!

    • You are entitled to have your laptop fixed under warranty, which you can initiate during the 3 month period. The warranty starts the moment it is shipped out to you.

    CPU : Dual Core i3-4130 (Gen 4)

    Quad core or nothing thanks

    • Yep, especially when you can get an i5 for $20~$30 more.

  • I'd bet these are ex NSW gov, for to new it fitout as departments move to Parramatta? Most were still running well, but hot desking means goodbye to desktops and many of the laptops had different connectors to the new network.

250GB hard disk, thats gotta be like 10 years old

Ideal for small home office and causal computing.

Ideal is overselling it. You are going to face significant slow down for some ordinary tasks such as web browsing with only two cores.

    Ideal would be four core.

I used an i3-4130 paired with an SSD and 8GB for 4 years at work and it run fine. Very rarely maxed out the CPU and the SSD really gave it the performance boost to run all the applications.

    Now gone for a 7th gen i7 with 16GB and it's flawless.

  • what is worth mentioning in the listing is that, you are not supposed to upgrade to win 10 pro from a win 8 SLIC. you shall do that from a win 8 pro SLIC.

    • Well he did….so?

      • when i wrote the previous comment, it said it had win 8 SLIC. now it says it has win 7 pro CoA. i don't know mate.

        • Looks like the error is fixed. The most important thing is the system has an activated OS.
