Just logged into my Telstra Plus Rewards page to see if I had enough points to get anything interesting and saw that I have gone up a tier to Silver which gave me 3 months of Standard Stan. Small print stated it was for new or current subscribers. I am a past subscriber (unsubbed June 2016) and tested it and logged in with my old details and I have been resubscribed for 3 months.
Nice timing for the new season of Better Call Saul.
I did search here and found nothing. Maybe I only saw it today because I am newly silver and no longer a lowly "member" ;)

Gold should be 6 months of Stan and 3 months of Kayo
You're not getting anything for nothing, you have to be on an expensive plan to get silver.
"If you are a new Telstra customer and join Telstra Plus, you will be on Member tier. Your tier will change once you meet the eligible spend within your membership year.
Your membership year is 12 months starting from the date you join Telstra Plus.
When your eligible spend within your membership year is more than $1,500 ($125 per month on average), you will move to Silver tier.
When your eligible spend within your membership year is more than $3,000 ($250 per month on average), you will move to Gold tier."
Get some trusted family members to share account. That's what I've done
Wish there was a 1 month stan for the member tier. Just have the 1 bill so no chance of getting the other tiers.

Can we cancel straight away to avoid the automatic renewal charge or do we have to wait until almost end of the 3 months free period to keep watching?
From memory, if you cancel stan during free period you lose it immediately.
If you do cancel they also ask you to tell them why.
