  • It as good at the Panasonic GZ1000 for 2500.
    Getting closer though.

  • Would be interested to see if JB match the eBay deals (presumably with delivery cost included).

      they wont.

      • They have previously, what I'd like to know is if that was by mistake or not.

JB policy is to match online sales, subject to delivery costs, the only hitch being if they see a code available ubiquitously as being a coupon or not. From where I'm sitting, coupons are physical items with limited availability, so an eBay code is fine, and thus they should price match.

But if you have any supporting evidence, I'd love to see it.

        • It's usually hit and miss depending on how desperate that store or salesperson is to take a deal like that, Usually no as Ebay pays for half the discount and most of those Ebay deals fall under JB's on staff price for the units. A couple of people get very lucky yes

@solidussnake: Yeah if these deals are below their cost price, they need to seriously review their business model…

            • +1

@jasswolf: No I said their staff price for what Friends and Staff get, the TV actual cost price of the units would be way lower (With rebates from the manufacture) but no one knows the actual costs except Regional managers etc JB is there to make money and its more to scare salespeople to not sell under staff as it flags the deals the next deal and people can get in some serious trouble. And like I said EBAY pays for half the discount so it's not a viable business model to take deals like this and going off their latest profits I can see why they don't wouldn't you do the same ?

  • Got a deal at JB Chadstone. 2900 AUD with delivery and additional 3 years warranty on top of the original 2.5 years. Good deal?

    • +1

Not really they're $2695 atm and under ACL rights you will have your TV covered up to 7 years. I would return the warranty

    • Extended warranty ouch. They don't cover burn in, so effectively you paid $300 for extra warranty.
