The Royal Exhibition Building will again play host to Melbourne's Premier Food and Wine event, Taste of Melbourne, held from Thursday 15 September – Sunday 18 September 2011.

Now established as a 'must attend event' by food and wine lovers from Australia and beyond, Taste of Melbourne allows attendees to sample up to 40 signature dishes prepared by chefs from Melbourne's best and hatted restaurants. Already confirmed for this year's event are Botanical, Esposito & St Peter's, The European, The Kitchen Cat, Libertine & Le Traiteur, Longrain, Mahjong Black, Mezzo & Mister Bianco, The Millswyn, St Katherine's, Stokehouse and Sarti.

Over 4 days there will be opportunities to meet chefs, learn from demonstrations and discover gourmet produce, along with the Australian Gourmet Traveller Taste Kitchen and the Australian Gourmet Traveller Chefs Table where chefs reveal their trade secrets and the Jaguar Gourmet Traveller WINE Theatre in association with Vintec Wine Cellars hosted by experts imparting information for both the beginner and the connoisseur – this is a unique and all encompassing gastronomic extravaganza.
