    Pointless device imo

    • I have been considering something like this for out near the BBQ where there is no power.

      • As a Bluetooth speaker? It’s average as a speaker in my opinion

Agree, but the kids all listen to spotify and we have a few of these we got for free, so I was thinking this might be useful.
And using wifi, not bluetooth, so the music keeps playing as I wander in and out with my phone.

      • This is precisely what I use my (other brand) Google Home Mini battery dock for. It lives inside, and comes outside for music when required.

        • Been using on Google home.. bought from David jones.. it's great.

Google should have made like these. Ease to move around the device and charge lasts long a day for me

David Jones sells the ones for Google Home for 27. I don’t think they are useless. Instead you can carry your google mini with you in the house or garden to listen to the news or whatever you fancy. A lazy day in the couch can get lazier when you don’t have to shout across the room to turn lights on and off. If you have children, listening to music or audio books becomes easy. Depends on how heavy you use Google Home and the minis.

  • I gave one of these to my dad and he loves it, moves the home mini around the house and out to the backyard when he likes. Best use for him is when the grand kids show up, he puts it on the table and they use it to play. Works well. Just be aware that it's no longer compatible with the 2nd Gen Mini, AKA Google NEST Mini, as that no longer uses micro USB.

  • I have one of the KIWI Design ones for the Google Home. The good thing is that you can turn it off when you don't need it and you don't want it to listen in.
