OTR are effectively 7-Eleven in SA.

All Mobil servos were sold to 7-Eleven in 2010 as a massive expansion for the brand, except in SA - which became OTR.
Apparently 7/11 have an agreement with OTR not to compete with them.

Similarly, Krispy Kreme stores / promotions are separate to elsewhere in Australia.

    • Except OTR isn’t just one brand of servo…. there’s Mobil OTR, BP OTR, etc…

It's one brand, with servos selling different brands of petrol.

All OTR servos are part of the same Peregrine Corporation, under the one OTR Brand.

Different servo chains were bought by Peregrine Corporation, which previously sold different petrol brands. That continues under the OTR Brand.

The purchase of the Mobil servos by Peregrine in 2010, resulted in no 7-Eleven in SA.
Peregrine bought out BP servos in SA in 2013.

  • Are the sandwiches any good? Never had one from OTR before, I'd just get special of the day at the usually attached subway lol

  • Had one in December. Dead bug inside. Do not recommend.

I wouldn't buy anything from OTR. Biggest thieves in SA. Currently they have put petrol up to 173.9 for unleaded at Mitchell Park. A Liberty servo 100m down the road is selling it for 123.9.
Happens regularly by these bastards and after a few days, the independents have no choice but to follow.
I'd rather push my empty car past an OTR than fill up there.

    • Would love to see an explanation of why the so called independents have to follow prices up.

      • Yeah if they stayed lower, they would have more sales. Buggered if I know…
