One way ticket, final destination. Book this and is a bad sign for travelling
Got a first time trip to Byron Bay coming up in a few weeks (Had an Amex credit to use, Byron it is).
Would a hire car be better for small day trips, based on 5 days? Or is there enough to do just by walking around?
Any tips re accom, food etc?
Cheers
I'd go a hire car - it's a pretty small place and you can walk all around the main section in maybe half an hour tops? The beaches etc are nice and it's got a pretty steady night life thanks to the tourists but i'd go crazy stuck there for 5 days. The GC is an hour up the road and theres plenty of nice spots in Northern NSW to explore. In Byron make sure you hit up the newish Stone and Wood brewery a few k's out of the centre.
+1 for the visit to the stone and wood brewery. Consider booking a tour. Was one of the favourite parts of my trip.
Thanks Dave,
I don't mind the ole Stone and Wood Ale, so I'll lock that in. Can you throw a few names of the Northern NSW spots to visit at me?
Cheers
Gold Coast only
