For 1 person it's $2,100. I have a friend looking at going on one solo but it's just to costly unless she could find someone else

    • same, I wish they all had single staterooms. not everyone has a partner/family/friends who are able to fill that second bed in the room!

For anyone looking to book, note that cruise ships (Radiance + Carnival Splendour) are currently being turned away from Lifou and Mare due to Coronavirus concerns from locals. This could mean substituted ports or sea day replacements for this departure.

Is this in the news anywhere, or just news from someone on a ship?

It's currently at Noumea, and meant to go to Lifou tommorow.

      • I did not hear nothing. My cruise is on the 10th Feb Carnival Spirit. Wouldn't be nice if it was true… 3 days at sea is enough for me and need to step foot on land lol :)

They have turned the ships away this weekend only at this stage.

          Thanks for the link :)

I wonder if it will only get worse.

        • Thanks for the info. Will have to contact Carnival cruise :(

@LHSolutions: You should be fine, they will just go to another island, they often have alternatives for when the Tenders can't go to the island due to bad weather.

Amazing deal, buy a cruise ticket get a corona free!

    • there's one confirmed case of virus on a cruise ship in Italy though

      • Not true, they held the passengers of an MSC liner because of a passenger who had suspected Coronavirus, turns out it was the common cold and they let the passengers off.

      • That was just some people with the Flu. Was just a scare :)

Yeah, expect a lot more discount cruise deals in the next few months unless this coronavirus thing gets under control. I wouldn't fancy spending a couple of weeks in a floating petri dish with a few thousand other tourists.

Again, a cruise specialist ignores mentioning which ship it is.

    Ship is Voyager.

  • Might end up being over 11 days if they found something, so could potentially be a bargain!

  • Thats the reply I received: "Carnival Spirit and Carnival Splendor have replaced their scheduled calls to Mare and Lifou on the current itinerary with visits to the beautiful destinations of Port Vila and Mystery Island in Vanuatu."

@OP this is not a deal, you are just posting advertised specials and using this forum for free marketing. If that was the case, then I could go on ozcruising, cruise1st, <insert name of anyother website> and just copy and paste their 7,324 deals on here as spam.

    No one would appreciate that.

However, people would appreciate a genuine deal, I don't need to explain to you what that means as you work in the industry so you should know that a cruise which averages out to be $75AUD per person/per night could be considered a deal? Don't say those don't exist as I have been on several, during peak periods (Easter, Xmas) …

You may wish to state clearly that the "upto $400 cabin credit" depends on the cabin category? I didn't bother reading your deal but assume interior may get $50, and if someone buys a suit/balcony then they could get the $400, but then the cruise price could most likely be double of what you advertised.

Please keep this in mind and as I look forward to you posting something meaningful/descent in the future. If OZB want spam/trash deals, then we are all capable of going on the interwebs and finding the those spam/trash deals ourselves.

    Thnx
