This was previously on sale for $799 (down from $1099).
AMD Ryzen 5 2500U
8 GB RAM
512 GB SSD
15.6" screen
Windows 10 Home.
This laptop would be more than suitable to most students going back to school or university.

I understand what you are saying about the size though. I actually just purchased this to replace another laptop (six years old). I needed a laptop with keypad (studying maths).
I do have a wacom tablet that i use for writing with, unfortunately the touchscreen laptops were just a bit outside my price range for the specs that i needed/wanted.
1366*768 (720p) should have been a deal breaker. Can I advise everyone here not to purchase? Spending $639 on a laptop with a 720p screen is only okay if you plan to use a secondary screen.
It's around ~100 PPI and most of these are really low quality screens.
Forget about going outside, even a bit of light shining through a window will make it borderline unusable.
Fits less on a webpage too.
There's honestly nothing redeeming about it.
Stunning screen
An HD, anti-glare display delivers a clear, bright image that's easy on the eyes.
Don't fall for this marketing bullshit. It's terrible that they do this, but they've literally had the exact same line in there for years. Screens haven't improved.
Get yourself a FHD (1920*1080) instead. They are commonplace these days and don't cost much at all.
+1 because I found 1366x768 really annoying. 1080p is the way to go.
Hi, are you still selling this computer?
Ripoff, now back at $1099
deal is expired
720p screen lol. Ouch. Still pretty bargain price for 512gb ssd.
I'd advise targeting something a bit smaller/lighter/better battery life for uni. My experience at least was a lot of moving between lectures etc, so something more portable would be better.
