Funny ad - you pay $35 per month and you get:

    *Free Local and National calls
    *Free Mobile calls
    *Free Text Messages
    *Free Voice Retrievals

    • not sure how it can be Free when you have to pay first?
    • -3

well 35$ is your plan fee, the calls and texts are free and unlimited just as outlined above

      • +2

Should say unlimited calls and text included - the word free is used when it is totally FREE

now, that was a free advice for you!

        • -3

calls are free $35 sim access fee, unlimited plans usually have fair usage policies we dont, its all FREE

  • +1

Yeah first 10 customers, no thanks.

    • -2

It was an error in posting the ad, it is for the first 100 customers only

  • Woolworths SIM Card I believe is a better deal, despite it not being "unlimited". You have the freedom to call international, for 1.

    • Can you add data to the Woolworths SIM?

      • yes by recharging. You get 5gb of data anyway? Unless your frequenting pornhub on a bidaily basis you'd struggle to use this.

    • -1

1.woolworths sim has an expiry date
2.woolworths sim is not unlimited so it is not in the same category as this deal
3.woolworths sim offers $500 value for $29 while we offer UNLIMITED value for only $35
4.woolworths sim is only $250 to any network and $250 to optus while ours is UNLIMITED TO ANY NETWORK!
5.we offer international calls too but standard rates apply, just as the woolworths sim
6.woolworths is not UNLIMITED! enough said

      • +2

1.woolworths sim has an expiry date. Yes so does yours.

        Woolworths 45days yours 30days

        Woolworths 5gb yours 2gb

Woolworths everyday rewards member recharge only $26.10 every 45days yours $35 every 30days

        • There is no Expiry date, this is a post paid sim
30 days commitment, as in you sign up and use 30 days of the sim before u can discontinue it

$500 worth of calls split between networks, ours UNLIMITED for any network!
$26.10 every 45 days pre paid for $500 worth, while ours is $35 UNLIMITED!

a lil extra info about woolworths sim:
*all calls have a flag fall of 35 cents
*Calls to national numbers 89cents per minute charged in 1 min increments
          *29 cents per SMS
          *50 cents for MMS
*voice mail retreival 89Cents per min plus 30 cents flag fall
*data excess $2 per MB charged in 1 MB increments ($2000 per GIG!)
to put into perspective if you make a call for 63 seconds you will be charged $2.37
while with sure its FREE because its within the plan

    • bear in mind that woolies sim's data is charged in 1mb blocks. Good luck if your angry birds apps download x000s of Ads randomly while you play.

  • +3

    2 Gigs on VodaFail network?

  • Is this offer for first month only?

    • no it is for good, as long as your bills are paid and you do not disconnect

  • +2

This is just plain advertising - not a bargain at all. OP, in your comments you are being disingenuous at best, and completely deceptive at worst.

    • +2

Agreed. I haven't seen this kind of arrogance from a telecom rep before. Usually it's just from fly by nighters selling one off junk. Makes you wonder.

      • I apologise if i seemed arrogant, ive posted one of the best sim deals in the country and all i can see are negative posts. We are getting slated for posting the best deal. But i understand i should not retaliate to those sort of comments.

    • how is this not a bargain? what do you consider a bargain? This is by far the best deal of its kind in the country! if this is not a bargain then i dont know what is. It is half the advertised deal on our website, its a bargain for the rest of the month. Half the price with double the data

  • would be nice if we could leave out the pointless telco bashing? because we all know we have not one decent telco that have 1) good coverage, 2) cheap plans and 3) reliable service in australia…

It's like saying politicians lie, captain obvious.

  • Doesn't look like a bargain.
TPG rates seem better and includes international. And if you're a TPG customer it works out cheaper than this. http://www.tpg.com.au/mobile/plans.html (and TPG don't use Vodafone, worth the extra 99c if you're not a TPG customer)

Yes, your plans are unlimited but I would rather trust a better network (Optus) and your website doesn't inspire confidence. Domain has only been registered 4 months. Your site has quality control issues (wherever you cut and pasted your 1300 number from has begin_of_the_skype_highlighting everywhere across the site).

    • International calls are included in this deal, they are however charged on top of the $35 plan fee just like the 13 calls. If you look at the TPG site you will see their extortionate rates for International calls. The $1000 cap TPG are offering will not go very far, besides as said elsewhere, a CAP plan cannot be compared to an Unlimited plan, on a cap plan you can easily run out of credit, on our unlimited plan you WILL NOT run out of credit!

As for the web site, and the 4 month domain registration, we are a fairly new Telco with a huge vision, that is all. What new company can go out and spend half a million dollars on a new website without either a massivley rich backer or building up a solid customer base? We are going for the latter.

We are here for the long haul and in a matter of months will be just as well known as other sim companies like Amaysim.

I'm with the OP, why all the hating? Apart from the fact that it's on Vodafone (who seem to have underdeveloped their network) it looks like pretty much the best Telecom deal around.
Still not signing up (I make about 10 voice calls a month, although the extra data would be nice), but it really does seem to be open season on this guy for some reason

    • Most times when it is too good to be true, it is not - There are no T & C published yet, so every thing is checked here ozbargain style.

I agree, I would not post a negative vote until I have all the details and T & C.

      • The terms and conditions are being worked on the website as we speak, it should be up within the next 15-20 minutes

      • ALL TERMS AND CONDITIONS CLEARLY ADDED ON THE WEBSITE

  • TPG do not do unlimited for $35.99 they give you $600 worth of calls outside TPG to TPG calls and look at the HUGE 1300/1800 call rates with TPG.

Sure Telecom give you 0c per sms / per minute calls on all aussie mobile/landline/sms and 13 calls over 60% cheaper than TPG.

$600 worth of calls cannot be compared to free unlimited calls.

    • Yes, not unlimited. But not $600. $1000. Yes, you're unlimited. Still wouldn't trust you.

The Vodafone terms of use have fair use rules. Vodafone would have the same terms in your agreement. It's probably a little economical with the truth to say you have no fair use requirements.

Also deceptive to keep saying "Free" and "unlimited". It's not FREE. You pay a monthly fee. It's not unlimited. Certain numbers are excluded. The ACCC is taking a dim view of this.

      http://www.mondaq.com/australia/x/142262/Telecommunications+…

      • Yes vodafone have a fair use policy, however we are not vodafone were simply utilizing their network to provide our service on our terms and our terms are WE DO NOT HAVE A FAIR USE POLICY. All calls are free, as there is no fair usage policy, there is no flag falls or rates per minute. Its all free. There is no limit on $1000 worth of calls

        • Word of advice. Less of the hard sell. Fix the bugs and typos on your site. And be honest in the description. You could have presented this more as a bargain, rather than an ad. Takes half the flame war to find out it's half of your normal price.

As for Fair Use. If that's what you say…

  • Sounds like a good deal.

So I can call another phone 24/7 for 1 month and you'll still be fine about it?

    • +2

yes thats totally fine, as long as its a call type that is included in the plan listed above (eg. Mobile calls)
