This Sports Pack Gas Plan is only available to customers with a supply address within the Coastal (Metropolitan) region.
Yes the rates are higher compared to their other deals, but is is less then their non discounted rate. you are saving $300 if you intend on purchasing Kayo.
The only better deal is the 35% off for a year. The 25% off for three years could be a better deal, but it depends how much gas you use.
We switched as our previous provider couldn't make up the $250+ difference in usage costs. I imagine it's the same with Alinta. We used to buy discounted Kayo cards but for us the Sports Pack Energy Plan was a no-brainer. YMMV, check your usage really.
It might work out, depending on how much of a discount you can get elsewhere and if you're paying full price for Kayo and/or sharing – eg: for those in WA, it's hard to go past the AGL gas deal for 50% off usage, one month free, and 10000 flybuys:

I bet you could sign up and leave in a couple of months and still keep kayo since they won't know if you're with Alinta or not. Unless someone can confirm they do some sort of monthly check, unlikely
Aren't the rates higher if you select this plan over their option without kayo?
