Free $100 Reward Card after a Nissan Navara Test Drive

1450

I found this hidden gem while browsing Nissan's website.
All you have to do is to visit a specific Nissan dealership's website and wait for the popup (wait 2 -3 seconds) as per the screenshot.
Steps:
1. Register your details, you should obtain a unique code after you've completed the registration process.
2. A salesman will get in touch from your elected dealership to organise a test drive of the Navara (Make sure it is for a Navara only).
3. Go for the Test drive and complete it and obviously don't forget to provide your unique code.
4. Dealer should allocate your $100 voucher for free within 1 - 2 days.
So far i've noticed that these dealerships are offering this:
- Ferntree Gully - https://www.ftgnissan.com.au/
- Ringwood Nissan - https://www.ringwoodnissan.com.au/
- Blackburn Nissan - https://www.blackburnnissan.com.au/
- Werribee Nissan - https://www.werribeenissan.com.au/

Feel free to add to the list as i'd recommend sharing the load across Victoria for test drives.
I couldn't find any in NSW or WA.

I got mine the same day.

              • @belongsinforums: No idea about the political argument. But the fake news media seem to be on the side of the alleged fraudster.

                • @abc: What fake news? Yes he's a fraud, but so were the many other japanese execs that somehow and some reason got off Scott free. He was targeted because Nissan (re Japanese government) didn't want the Renault merger to happen, so they dug up dirt on him as an excuse, held him detention for over 100 days with no charges, then arrested him 3 separate times and placed the most ridiculous bail conditions ever. (He wasn't even allowed to communicate with family, like what?) He forgo a $9 million USD bond to get out, that's how cooked the japanese justice system is.

              • @belongsinforums: Yeh in the same article they mentioned the conviction rate and also mentioned how the defendants argument has to be ridiculously strong. If true, that’s pretty shit, but At the same time it’s also shit to skip out while on bail, no winners either way (if true)

                • +2

@eltito: if you were that rich and knew you wouldn't get a fair trial, wouldn't you do what you could to protect yourself? but yea it sucks for everyone

                  • @belongsinforums: Yeah, there are no winners, on the one hand if he is innocent and he knows he won't get a fair trial, he will do whatever he can do avoid it, on the other hand, he could easily just be guilty and is trying to run from the law.

                    Realistically, there are no winners

      • +1

Escaped using his French passport, but how he pulled that off nobody knows, and it's a huge embarrassment to the Japanese government.

        • someone obviously knows. dude is loaded. could have easily organised a private plane home.

    • Sadly Japan having their fair share of scandals. Every time they make a deal to save money they have executives party like in the old days when the industry was booming. Test drove a number of Nissan's from SUV's to the Leaf. My verdict: An obsolete company starved of real inventions and trying to make up with false emotions.

Same as the ones I tried. No free money for us

Can't trigger the pop-up on mobile.

I'm so far away from the target market for a Nissan Navara, and the dealer will know just by looking at me. But $100 is $100

Worth driving down to VIC from Sydney for this? #ozbthoughts

I wonder if they let you do a series of one way test drives to the next dealer you've booked a test drive at.

So it worked at Preston Nissan and then I rang up to make an appointment today at 330. Someone else then rang me to make sure I was serious and said the only people who could give the voucher work Monday to Friday. Would make a complaint but guessing it won’t go far. I didn’t show up or anything so not too much time wasted. Thoughts?

    • I went in. The marketing manager works Monday to Friday so you gotta pick up the voucher then.

      • Oh ok did you do the test drive today then?

        • Yeah test drove their promo navara out on the corner of the dealership.
Not a bad truck, light on the steering, twin turbo diesel.

  • +7

I just deliberately sunburnt my right side so I'd have truckers arm and feel like more of a man when going for the test drive. Now I've chickened out and am feeling sorry for my self all covered in aloe.

    • +8

It's a stupid marketing idea. Most of Nissan's cars are crap, the Navara is alright. If you have a good car, or it's priced well, people won't need $100 to get them to test drive it. It stinks of desperation.

Australian businesses are suffering because they charge extortionate prices and add no value.

    • +6

      Disagree OP a Hero .

Some folks that need a few bucks can get some dough from a multi national that normally avoids paying their fair share of taxes . On top of that some of the worst scumbags in society are getting their time wasted car salesmen :)

      Big Thumbs Up .

    • +1

If Nissans marketing department thought this through for more than 2 minutes they would have put more stringent conditions on it. Or maybe they just don't care?

It's not the OP's fault for highlighting this offer, if there was a dealer near me I'd apply too. I'd probably say I'm only there because of the money though, but perhaps that is totally their intention, and they truly believe that I'm going to love it so much after a drive that I have to have it? Kind of reeks of desperation, but you're the one assuming this isn't their actual intention.

    • +1

Who knows one out of 100 here buy it which may still be worthwhile for Nissan. Ozbargain is good for businesses as well.

    • +4

Disagree. This isn’t free money. It comes at the cost of time and usually a survey they get you to fill out. Marketing and advertising cost money and you can’t expect every person you advertise to will purchase your product.

Even if you have no intention of buying this car now, a test drive may have a lasting impression and creates familiarity with the brand.

I did a Renault test drive for $200 several years back. I had no intentions of buying the car but now I know more about the brand.

      • Will you ever buy a Renault (new or preowned) after test driving one? :P

    • +1

You're not living up to your Username, r3ckless😉

  • +3

    Not working for QLD ones

  • +3

Follow the instructions and been contacted via one of the dealers. When I mentioned about this promotion, the sales guy told me straight away they are looking to sell the car and not give away the $100 to the customer. And the sales guy is not intended to honour the promotion if I am not interested in buying the car.

If Nissan is not budgeted for this promotion and follows the rules, they shouldn't put it into the public.

      • just let it go …. no stress at all….

    • Call the Copper's as that is the kind of company and people ( slimy ) you are dealing with . It doesn't surprise me though .

They should have not produced the offer if they are not going to honour it !

  • Ask yourselves this. if you had a brand or product to promote, how much would you pay for people to think about your brand and product. Its pretty successful even just in this thread alone isnt it? and how many of us here have actually received the $100? pretty good bang for buck so far for nissan IMHO.

    • +3

Don't know that many here have changed their opinion towards the brand. Most just want the money (Reward card)!

But, people's opinions toward the brand may change when they are refused the offer!

A bad opinion is hard to change & is shared more.

Just ask those refused previous popular but lesser offers like Ben & Jerry's etc. So much hate!

I received that offer but never bought B&J since. My opinion on their ice cream was not changed for $14! But it was OK to eat.

Don't think $100 will change my view on a $22,490 to $65,888 Navara. But getting me in the driver's seat for a test drive might😉

  • +1

hmm, should i do it just to pick up a thing or two from bunnings XD

    • +3

Haha do it, then calmly ask for the $100 to pay for whatever you're buying at Bunnings.

  • Doubt many will go there just to do this, to much hassle.

    • thats right, but generates discussion otherwise would not even have thought about nissan this am.

      • No one has commented they want to buy one, just want the $100😉

My only thought about Nissan is someone there must be a little crazy to put this much pressure on the sales team, for few if any extra sales. It doesn't make me consider buying one. And I want a new vehicle & could afford one.

There have been other nice rewards here for test driving vehicles - but I can't remember the brands!

Ozbargainers are likely to OzBargain the allocation for no extra sales.

  • +2

Just got a call but they weren’t impressed when I mentioned I’m in SA lol

    • +4

I don't think anyone is impressed you're in SA =p

    • Did they tell you to f*** off?

  • Sadly no pop-up for Browns Plains or Springwood dealerships all I got was a live chat pop-up.

  • But what if I get pressured in buying the car????

  • can't wait to witness outside nissan dealerships with queue on one side and ozbargainers kicked out of the office every minute or so

  • I would suggest don't use ad blocker on the website. other wise it gets blocked.

The things that people would do for a few bucks…

    • Nissan paying a lot better than Uber on a per minute basis… and you don't even need to use your own car!

  • can you refund the car after getting the $100?

    asking for a friend

    • +1

Yeah you can, but there's roughly a 60% restocking fee.

  • +1

Well I drove all the way to Glen Waverley renault for the $200 a few years ago, I can't pass this up for the free $100.

Now to find someone to lend me overalls to look the part. 🤔

  • In theory, could I do I complete multiple test drives under different emails and phone numbers?

    • +4

Probably need new ID and a new face too.

  • Nissan are getting desperate, as the Navara is on track for its worst sales year in over a decade.

  • +2

How has nobody else been thinking of this???

  • Sure it's a free $100, but you have to put up with a salesman breathing down your neck for an hour and the subsequent phone calls. No thanks.

The only problem was they didn't know anything about the promo at all, surprised they came through actually after I gave them the info.
