Zomato has just launched a new promo, 50% off of their annual membership.
Currently $29 for 12 months, but $21.75 if you can get hold of a referral code. Not the best it's been, but pretty darn close.
No idea when it ends, I'm expecting the end of tomorrow but it isn't listed anywhere in my app.

Lot of hidden conditions in Zomato gold
Restaurants have unusual conditions for Zomato gold customers.
Those restaurants which maintain different menu for lunch and dinner will offer you dinner menu during lunch time if you show that you’re a member.. Dinner menu rates are usually $7-$10 more than lunch menu rates..
Plus you can use it once a day only..
Restaurants are not accepting Zomato gold today and tomorrow due to Christmas.. Could be that in coming time, they’ll not accept it on any public holiday..
Zomato service Center is also slow in acting..
Think before you get it..
And then… guess what, you cant use it today again (boxing day). You only just find out when you want to use it.
Their customer service is terrible too. Expert in template answers.

Being in hospitality it's terrible.They have screwed and deceived us in to believing it is a benefit to our business but it's a tool for getting cheap deal and for restaurants to reduce their already thinning margins.
It has put me off Zomato forever and I think they are profiting from the losses of the restaurants they have deceived.
I doubt the reviews are from the restaurants though

How is this a deal? What do I get for $29?
You get access to 1+1 food or 2+2 drinks or a % off your bill at a variety of restaurants. So far for me it's been great value, got my money back after two uses.
I got the one month free trial recently for a visit to Melbourne, had an account question and it took three emails to get a response, they were also sending loads of advertising so I wanted to close my account - they don't even have a 'close account' option, emailed them again requesting to have my account closed, they wrote back and asked why I would want to do that, rather than just actioning the request - very annoying to deal with. None of the restaurants I'd researched and wanted to go to were part of their offers either - I did a search before I joined and they came up, but after joining gold I realised they list every restaurant (with details like address and opening hours), but that doesn't mean they're part of the food or drinks offers - I found it very misleading. If you live there and eat out to eat a lot at different places it might be ok, but if you want to go to particular restaurants there's a good chance they're not members, so there's no benefit.

signed up and 2 people went to braybrook stn. ordered meals for $21 each and paid for one meal. meal discount almostly covered gold membership fee.
most of gold restaurants are in Melbourne CBD. It's good for people who work in CBD and go out for lunch with 2 persons.
you need to understand all the conditions so will not be surprised when ordering.
always ask whether you can use gold before ordering.
