    Yes, the USB multi-card reader has expired but I was still able to pick up the HDMI cable.

    ** Just a warning about cheapo no-name card readers **

    I have a 32GB Patriot LX SDHC card for my GoPro, worked fine in the GoPro, but when downloading the footage I put it into a no-name card reader. The download went fine, so I formatted to clear the card. Now the only thing that can use that card is the damn card reader! Spent the money on a SanDisk reader and glad I did, faster transfers and no issues.

      format it again, this time make sure you select FAT32

      …or maybe try formatting it again in a camera…

      also speed is a huge issue, some of them are only USB 1, decent ones go upto about 15MBs, bad ones 1-2.. superfast ones (100dollars+) can use most of the USB 2 bandwidth (48MBs) firewire ones can max out your card read rate…
