The company doesn't seem to take the issue that seriously, which i think is very concerning
They're also very friendly with various police organisations and because it's "voluntary" (on behalf of the company, not you) there's practically no restrictions on what they can do with the footage - run it through facial recognition, share it with their friends, stalk their ex, etc…

If what Ring is saying is true, their systems have not been compromised, people are just letting their passwords become compromised. They can hardly be held responsible for people using the same password for absolutely everything and becoming outraged when they are then 'hacked'.
That’s like the Echo Show 5 at $65 and Ring Spotlight Camera at $135 .
