I remember the first time i used car ramps i sent them shooting into the garage wall. Concrete was too smooth.

Never tried again after that and only use stands now.

    Good price for ramps though.

Recommend getting the optional rubber-anti slip feet

    • i sent them shooting into the garage wall.

Was this when reversing off them?

      • Going forwards…

I love the maximum tire size rating - 650x200mm. Everyone better go and measure your tires 😁 realistically though, this says that it only fits 195/65R15 tire, which is pretty small nowadays.

    • I agree. I have these ramps which work on my car but my tyre is 205mm. Technically shouldn't use it.

These ramps are practically for small cars only and even then, won't clear a lot of lower front bumpers.

I had to buy the rubber too because one time driving up them they flicked backwards and my car came crashing down.

I hate using them now and other Jack and stands.

  • In my experience most modern cars are too low and long in front of the wheels to even drive up these ramps. Stick with stands and a hydraulic jack.

If your daily is still an '88 Camry then go for it.

    • I found exactly the same - these are completely useless for normal cars.

  • What stands would everyone recommend, just the regular SCA ones?

Couple of treated pine sleepers, cut to size with a small length nailed on top of a larger length, bevelled edges. Works for me, feels safe knowing it's solid.

      I guess this woodwork.

    • I do the same, and it's massively cheaper than actual ramps.

  • I only want 1000kg ramps
