First time poster. Be brutal.
Not an all time low but a good saving with $1000 off. Deal came through email.
About $450 off the low before the B9 was launched.

Hard to justify when B9 is as low as $2300-2400
That's what I'm waiting for to buy a new TV finally, 65" B9 around $2k. Hoping I can sort something out during the Christmas sales.
Out of curiosity, I have an avenue whereby I can get the B9 for $2200 and the C9 for $3400. Should I go for that or wait for Boxing Day sales?
Personally I would jump on the B9 at that price. There is a chance it could go lower, but it's a very low chance. Even JB has the b9 and c9 at $3450 right now. It depends if you really need the features the C9 offer. If you don't know what they are, then you 100% don't need them.
As far as I can tell, looking at the specs of both, the main difference is the processor in it. A7 vs A9. Not sure I really spotted any other differences. That sound about right?
@Devastator0: Max brigtness for HDR, cpu like you said, dual tuner vs single tuner. I don't really care for any of that, I just watch everything through a chromecast ultra and use my PS4 - and never have my tv at max brightness. Is your avenue achievable by anyone else? I would be all over the B9 at that price.
@onlinepred: @onlinepred Yeah, I saw the CPU difference but the LG site doesn't list differences for the HDR and mention dual tuner (what's the benefit of that in a TV. Want to know for my own curiosity). Yeah, we do watch some FTA stuff but the majority of content we consume is via my own Plex library and the various streaming services. Unfortunately the avenue I have available to me isn't achievable by just anyone, I can't really go into it much publicly, I can speak about it specifically in a direct message. Drop me a DM and I can outline it.
@Devastator0: If I can't get access to it then not much point speaking about it ðŸ˜
Dual tuner makes it quicker to flick through stations, gives the ability to record and watch different stations at the same time, also allows for using features like picture in picture.
@onlinepred: lol yeah, good point, sorry mate, I wish that I could make this option available to more people as the price savings are pretty good.
And ahh cool, thanks for clarifying that. I guess the B9 may just be the better option. Makes more sense. Cheers for the advice/info mate!
@Devastator0: $1200 difference is huge. Can buy a ps5 and some games for that price
@onlinepred: Yeah and lol, the plan is to get a PS5 when it comes out haha.
RTINGS claims the colour on the B9 is pretty far off correct out of the box and there’s no auto calibration feature like the C9 has although it doesn’t really need it.
@shrtcphr: Tune it and you are at 99% like for like. Saved hundreds.

JB's place in the OLED world is for eBay sales price matches. :)
Do they actually match? ive never had any luck with TGG or JB or HN
I successfully price matched at TGG (Brighton) for 3200. I was pretty pleased with myself, until I realised $30xx ebay codes prices were active!
I might try that store, DFO moorabbin couldnt get wihtin 100 of their own ebay store price on monday for the 65r7. $880 delivered online, 950 pickup was their 'best' price.
Really depends who you ask. I asked JB, they said no. I asked HN, the sales rep laughed at me ("you want me to price match an ebay bid?" ugh). I asked TGG, they said yes.
lol guess you got the last laugh then xD
They match a legitimate eBay store, yeah. Appliance Central are typically the ones offering the deals.
Saw C9 advertised here on OZ Bargain last month for $3036 either VideoPro or Appliance Online.
C9 is rated higher, when comparing any other OLED TV. I am not expert just going by https://www.rtings.com/tv/tools/compare/lg-c9-vs-lg-b9/802/9…Yep best of the best right now. If you don't need the best of the best you could save >$700 on the B9 and get the second best of the best ;-)
They are trying to push C9 price back up after releasing B9.
I'm Commander Shepard, and this is my favorite TV on the Citadel.
I am glad I am not the only one that see commander shepard.
I'm after a 55" and regret not picking it up from this deal: https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/496766
Your next best chance will be Boxing Day.
Me too bro, me too.
Still not the lowest! Wait for eBay 20% from TGG or BingLee. It will come down to 3k.
This TV or Samsung 8k 65inch. Negotiated the Good Guys down to $3900. Hmmm
8k.. What content are you going to play?
It's for the future when 8k content comes out, where everyone has 8k MicroLed TV's, this guy will have the old school LCD ;-)
It's roughly $400 difference in comparison to this for 8k and 8k upscaling. And next year the ps5 id expected to come out which will is expected to have 8k gaming.
@G-Dynamite: Yea but LCD vs OLED. I think PS5 is more likely to be 4k 120FPS than 8K of any valuable FPS. Do we know if games will be 8k, or will just support blueray and media at 8k? If so it will surely cost over $2000 due to the GPU required.
@G-Dynamite: you think the PS5 is going to have true 8k Gaming while the highest performing desktop GPU still struggles with 4k?
sony found a way to defy physics did they?
its going to be upscaled content or 8k but low graphic settings at 45-60FOV. in which case u might as well use 4k and save the money to buy the ps5 itself
C9 man! 8K is useless for now, or it will take a long time to get 8K content for sure.
Come on Boxing day sales!
I'm skeptical given that the Black Friday deals weren't great. Really seems our best bet are just the seemingly random deals on Appliance Central & The Good Guys eBay stores.
I sort of agree. I was extremely disappointed by Cyber Monday. That being said, Boxing Day is our traditional sales day, while Black Friday was stolen from the States. You would expect a better showing.
Best Black Friday ever by stats. If you think this Black Friday/Cyber Monday is bad, Boxing Day will be even worse.
Anyone else procrastinating on either 65inch OLED or 80inch+ LCD?
Yeah for sure, but I went down to Good Guys and watched a 75" X8500F next to a 75" X9000F and although the X8500F wasn't as bright or punchy as the X9000F and its FALD, I couldn't handle the blooming on the X9000F. You might see the fireworks demo reel on the Sony TVs in store, you can see blooming cropping up around the fireworks as they explode and get brighter. The black around the colours turns dark grey and it doesn't do this on the X8500F. Won't bother some people but really bothered me. Preferred the X8500F even though its obviously inferior just because it wasn't doing anything weird. Pretty set on 65" OLED now, even though it's smaller than I want sitting 5m away.
Did you at least check the settings on the X9000F? The brightness and gamma would have been turned right up for displaying the TV. Also local dimming was it on low, medium, high? On my X9300E - medium to high makes a big difference with blooming and contrast. All of the models have a retail mode which has extremely vivid settings made for daytime viewing only, great colours and brightness but poor blacks. Where you will see blooming even with settings used to control it, is off angle. Sit straight in front and it should be fine but off to the sides being a VA panel blooming will show occasionally.
Comparing TV's on a showroom floor is next to useless.
LOL at the fan boys negging me because I said I personally don't like blooming.
Literally
With regard to Latitude Price Protection, do they protect against Ebay deals inclusive of discount %?
