    I like that collectors edition!
But, i want it in 4K…

    • Exactly where I was .. cancelled my US preorder just this weekend after deciding I'd rather have it in 4k then the box .. which seems very nice on the outsdie but the sleeves for each one are just cardboard .. so I don't know :/

  • Sorry, 4K is only for season 8. No 4K for the whole series.

Box set with 1-7 is better value unless you pay to be disappointed lol

Even season 7 was pretty average

brb marching on highgarden and missing the whole battle

      • Perhaps the 1-8 boxset will not sell well and JB will offer 40% off HBO deal again later. I think I'll wait for that deal.

    • Why they wouldn’t release a 4K Boxset has me genuinely stumped.

Yeah. Very detailed "scenes" in 4K glory. I'll buy.

    • They did season 1 4K also.

I haven't seen GOT but I know the last season is bad from previous deal's comments

First 4 or 6 seasons (depends on you) is also probably the best in this era.

The show is based on the books by George R R Martin. He is about 70% done with the books, but there are 2 more books remaining (biggest in the series). The series in my opinion is still very much worth watching, because for the majority of the time it was following the books, it provided us with the best television experience we've seen. Captivating story, brilliantly told, until of course the show writers ran out of source material. What they done after that, is why the ending is so debated. They knew where the story was ending, they knew where major characters will end up, but they needed at least another 5 seasons following season 5 to tell the story in full.

Now I somewhat understand they were getting tired, and the actors from what I understand only signed up for 7 seasons, so they had to be paid extra to sign them up for an 8th season. But if this is the case, they should have hired more well established writers to help them see this thing through.

The last two seasons felt rushed, more so the last season, which is why it was so heavily debated. Developments that should have been happening for some characters for at least a season or two, happened within episodes.

The latter seasons still had some of the best cinematography, directing, and special effects. I still recommend the show as a whole personally. It still has and had some of the greatest and most shocking moments in television history.

If they remove the last season I'd buy it.

Wait… there was actually an 8th season? I thought that was just a bad dream.

Season 8 tainted the entire show for me. The only good to come of GoT is all the Bron memes.

  • +1

Season 8 is such a big let down, it just throws everything from s1-s7 down the drain.

I wish I could pay them to forget the last two seasons…
