Highly recommended these. One of the best appliances I ever bought. Can use it for much more than just sandwiches.
I use it to cook eggs, burgers or anything you would usually cook on a fry pan.
The non-stick surface works really well.

  • Sunbeam make the worst appliances ever. Our Sunbeam grill broke after a couple years. Not to mention, the hinge design was atrocious, with it loosening after every few uses. Also, our Sunbeam Cafe Series food processor broke down after we got it repaired.

    I stick with Breville now.

have been using it for the past 2yrs. Bought it for 23$, excellent purchase.
    use it almost every week.
But now the coating has started coming off slowly.
    Will buy again :-)

  • Anyone recommend a good jaffle maker? Our Aldi one is shit (just doesn't hold its temp hot enough - not crispy enough imo…)

I did some research on this a couple of years back and this one is the best you can get. I have it but don't use it as much these days, as I have reduced my bread consumption but can definitely recommend it. They usually sell for $89 at most places but you can pick it up cheaper (e.g. The Good Guys 20% eBay sales).

Cheaper than 2 smashed Avo on Toast in Sydney

We have a grill style press (different brand), and the one thing that annoys me about it is that it takes a bit longer to clean properly. You can quickly wipe down a flat plate, but gunk can settle between the grills meaning you need to go through and wipe between each one. Probably not so much an issue with this one as the grill is only on top (mine has both top and bottom), but still something worth thinking about if you enjoy an easy clean up :).

Thanks OP. Bought the larger version. Cheers

  • Adnnnnd it's gone….

  • Have had this for more than 3 years. Still going strong. It's a bit difficult to properly clean the top portion because of the grill pattern.

  • Darn missed out. Can you cook steak on this?
