Topaz Labs has a bunch of Photo/video AI software that lets you upscale from some pretty shitty source images.

I used it at work to convert a 640x480 image to 4000x3000 effortlessly.
Much better than just blowing it up in paint/photoshop which does nothing.

New detail is literally generated using AI.

There are other tools like AI background determination etc for green-screening without a greenscreen.

  Have you been having it randomly crash? I think when it works it seems to be quite good (yet to print anything out to a decent size from it) but I'm finding it will often crash when I click start.

    Hasn't been crashing for me, with the exception of one time when I loaded up a very large number of relatively small files.

  yeah the bundling really kills the deal.
  
  also having used the trial, they have a lot of work to do on faces, fingers, and toes. and it's pretty clear their training dataset uses almost entirely blue-eyed models, makes for very weird results.
