Hope this helps someone out! I've been on the lookout for a deal after giving my Playstation Plus code away a few months ago…
Just enough for TRS too!

Just enough for TRS too!
yes, pretty much all Bluetooth ones have this problem
This is not true because my Bose QC35 is excellent for phone calls. I use it daily for conference calls.
del
Nope, tested it, really good call quality. Couldn't even tell my partner was using it. We're both on Telstra though.
Unusable for calls in most cases.
I own a pair. My partner called me whilst I was walking the dog and she said she couldn't even tell I was using the headphones to speak. Not sure how they do it, but it seems to be good!
Just got the Jabra Elite Active 65t delivered for $168, cheers!
I can't decide between these or the Jabra Elites. Care to share why you went with the Jabra? I'm looking to buy as a gift.
Thanks.
Purely my own opinion….I've got a set of these and they are fantastic.
The sony's are not waterproof and has noise cancelling. The 65t's are IP56 rated and don't have noise cancelling. However, based on the fact that you are buying it for a teenage boy, I'd suggest going for the Jabra purely for the IP56 rating over none on the Sony's.
However, if noise cancelling is what you're after and you don't care about IP rating, then Sony's.
Thanks. The kid isn't very "active". Might go with the Sony's. Cheers
rich bitches
These are good. But mine developed a couple of faults.
1. The charging case stopped working properly. This is apparently because some internal magnets came loose.
2. The left earbud's audio is now noticeably quieter.
I decided to go with the Sonys because of the noise cancelling, and the reviews have generally been good.
Where did you get that price?
I cant see the Active's on eBay, must be sold out!
This is pretty good. $300 with pickup. $310 delivered.
I have a pair of these and I must say their ability to hold a call at least on my Samsung S9 is not great. Generally call quality is poor with people complaining I am hard to understand or sound like I am underwater. Reverting back to the handset immediately resolves the issue. The older WI-1000x's these replaced NEVER had this issue and were perfect for long work conference calls and music. I was hoping the latest update would have resolved these issues but alas not so. Your mileage may vary.
Shows Free Delivery for Ebay Plus :)
This or the new Jabra 75t, or Galaxy Buds?
Both jabra 75t and galaxy buds are formidable ear buds, but none of them have adaptive noise cancelling. Currently best adaptive noise cancelling ear buds are these Sony ones and apple bud Pro. And that's why this Sony is at a premium price. But at $300 w out shipping is a steal as they just got released!
Anyone have any experience using these around crying babies?
ANC on the earphones is not going to be as good as the full sized headphones. Also, ANC works best for a constant noise like from an airplane, you will get some, but not a lot of noise reduction for something like that.
Crying babies? Hell, the full size xm3 doesn't even reduce any sounds from my toddler, let alone crying babies!
I heard these don't have on-board volume control.
They have since had a software update which allows on board volume control!
Nice! Great to hear.
Anyone has problem checking out for C&C orders?
I was also having issues with checkout - it processed once I switched from PayPal to credit card. YMMV.
Mine was fine after I change to another pick up location. Cheers
Been waiting for this for so long. Thanks OP! All reviews so far has been great. Can't wait to try them out.
Im honestly torn between this and the jabra 75t :/
If you watch Jims Review Room, in his latest video, he considers 75t to be overall well performing. Only the active and passive noise cancellation seems to be the difference otherwise. May be choose, based on this preference?
I own the Sony's and my colleague owns the Jabra 75t's, he got his from JBHIFI for 270
I'd get the Jabra's at 270 over the sony's at 300,
The Jabra's have similar battery life but a much smaller footprint, the case is maybe half the size and also IP rating is advantageous
Noise cancelling is nice but not a defining feature like on the headphones
got it thanks :)
edit: i was too slow and they've ran out of stock. sad face.
I can still see it is available.

Thanks OP! Snagged myself a pair and have been waiting for months for these.
Anyone know what receipt / invoice I need to claim the tax back at an airport? I paid through paypal so is it simply a print out of the paypal transaction?
