  not sure if this a good deal, considering that replacing your existing power point for this will require a licensed electrician.

    You'd need an electrician to replace any power point… so what makes this particular one a bad deal?

    Remember — you need a licensed electrician to install these. Turning off the mains power, removing the 2 holding screws on the existing power point, undoing the 3 screws hold the wires to the back of the socket. Then attaching those wires (as colour coded) you need a licensed electrician to install these to the new USB powerpoint and then attaching back to the wall with the 2 screws and then turning on the mains power, should only be done by a licensed electrician.

  I bought 2 last time, but decent buy with some Amazon credit back when talking to chat

  they do require some modification

  • screws are larger than standard
  • hole placement is slightly higher when using with standard c clips
  • 2.4A is shared between both USB ports

  The cheapest at Bunnings is $34.95, which is the Delta. I know they had some reduced a year or 2 back for $19.95.
