    Why only through the app?

  • Can you use these to recharge an existing boost plan?

    • No. Need to port out and then port in.

  • This one or the one sold in Coles ?

    • +20

If you are looking to port over to boost then it’s pretty much the same to you and this is $5 cheaper than the Coles deal. Southern Telecom in Melbourne is doing the same deal for $125 pickup at Southern Cross station so if you are in Melbourne and goes to the city, you can save a future $5. Many people are jumping on the Coles deal because you actually buy a recharge not a starter kit so you can use it to recharge your existing Boost service which you can’t not do with a starter kit. Hope this explains the difference.

      • Thank you, Great deal.

      • Well explained

      • Thanks

  • Good deal.

    • did it work for you in app?

  • +1

Is it easy to port from Aldi? Thanks

    • +1

Not sure about Aldi, however in the last 4 weeks have done 2 ports from Belong (Telstra wholesale so same network as Aldi) which took less than 15 minutes each.

      • +3

I ported from Aldi to Boost a few days ago. No issues at all. Was done in 20minutes.

    • +1

      Had zero issues

    • +1

I ported from Aldi with the very first boost mobile 80gb offer. Man those were painful weeks of waiting

  • Can I use this sim for 4g router?

    • +1

      Yes

      • Thanks. Can you please recommend a 4g Sim router to buy for use with this sim? Cheers

        • What are your requirements? Is it for home use or for the car/travelling?

          • +1

@CC123: It's for home use. I will be
going overseas for a while so I just need a cheap internet option to control my camera and light remotely.

            • @greywolfa: Ah ok.
Would you consider one of those portable modems (e.g. this) or would you prefer the 'more advanced' ones?

              • @CC123: can this one be plugged in power supply for months? As long as it stays on without anyone's attention that would be good.

                • +1

@greywolfa: It can be plugged into a USB port - as for the others not sure what option is best. I can't personally recommend any however this should be able to do as asked

                  • @CC123: So I have buy a 4g USB stick to use that one?
I'm looking at this the TP-Link MR6400, but it's a bit pricey. Hoping to find something under $100.

                    • +1

@greywolfa: Unfortunately correct, unless you are wanting to pay $120+ for something that supports a sim card.
You could always try refurbed/used routers (that have a sim slot) as they will be cheaper

                      • @CC123: Thank you so much for your help CC123!

            • +1

              @greywolfa: Smaaaaaart

  • Didn't work on android app in pixel2 xl.

  • +1

Coupon code didn't work, it says invalid.

    • Worked for me. There few sellers selling the same Sim kit. Works with Auditech.

  • If I am on Telstra plan which is going to end next month, can I get this?

    • +1

Think you need a special SIM to port from Telstra to Boost. Contact Boost help. Might not be able to use starter kit.

  • Is the boost network any good. My mum complained about woeful reception with Optus (in Sydney) on an iPhone 8 handset. I was thinking of starting her on either boost or Aldi mobile, but Aldi doesn’t seem to have the year long super pack available for sale :(

    • Boost uses the full Telstra network

  • Do I have to activate this by a certain date? Might transfer over once my current plan ends in Jan

    • +1

Mine one has expiry in September 2021 so plenty of time.

  • In this sim package boost offer free sms receiving overseas or not?

    • No you need to pay $15 to enable sms

      • Is it normal that you have to pay to receive sms?

        • Only roaming for receiving sms and calls while overseas its pay as you go

It enables roaming then you pay per message and per min

  • Thanks my Telstr $49 per month is ending in Dec so grabbed one of these..

  • +1

Dont unerstand the logic behind forcing us to use app for crrtain discounts. Has anyone come across another deal around this price that does not require App?

  • +2

nooo was researching… now sold out

  • +1

this seller sold out, but theres some here https://cellmate.com.au/product/boost-150-starter-kit/ for $133 .
Please wait for me to finish researching and dont buy them out

    • thanks but the link says $150.

  • Awesome deal, it's available again and bought one, thanks

    • still out of stock for me from the app.

  • Alright, so here's some useful info that I gathered via chat with Boost:

    • If you add another recharge voucher while the current voucher is still valid, you lose the unused days. Duration of the plans doesn't stack up with vouchers.

    • The number remains active (for incoming calls and sms) for 6 months after expiry of the plan. You can recharge at any time within this period. However, it's best to recharge a day before the plan expires as the unused data rolls over in that case. Once the plan has expired, you lose the unused data.
