Was looking at Smart displays. Looks like this is the cheapest the Lenovo has been for the 10".
Nothing left in stock in my area unfortunately but had a look and seems there are some around.

What’s the difference between this and the google nest hub at big w buy one get one free?
This has a bigger speaker, and has a 3" bigger screen from my understanding.
And a camera I believe
You can 'cast' with more apps to Google Nest Hub than with the Lenovo one (still does Youtube i believe).
However you shouldn't be comparing 10 inch Lenovo to the standard 'Google Nest Hub' - the equivalent size one to compare to would be the Google Nest Home Hub Max.
The use case is with Google 'Hub' you mentioned - as it does not have a camera, the Duo video calls, you can see the other side (if they also have a camera) - but they can't see you for obvious reason.
Where as for this 10 inch Lenovo - the other side can see you too.
Again, if you compare like-to-like - Google Nest Home Hub Max - that one does have a camera.
I’m just trying to figure out if it’s worth spending the extra $40 on top of the $159 to get 2 nest hubs for $199 or just get 1 lenovo for $159

Weaker processor but get better speakers. Worse screen too than the outgoing Lenovo 8
Oh worse screen in terms of res but got ambient mode for better photo slideshow?
I've got both, really depends what you intend to use it for. I'd recommend this for a living/dining room or kitchen. Our usage:
The Lenovo sits in the kitchen, it's louder and screen is significantly bigger so good for music and watching videos/recipes. Takes up quite a bit of countertop space.
Nest hub now sits in the bed room, good for bedside clock, home control and bedroom listening, much smaller footprint.
