  • Anyone know roughly how long the delivery will be? Not over a month i hope?

Also, will the gpu here better than gtx 1050ti for light gaming (not wukong) and video conversion from x264 to x265 for example

    • +2

it took about 8 days for me to get mine i ordered this month

      • Thanks. And your feedback on this laptop? Battery okay? Over heat much? What are your usage case scenarios?

        • i didnt get this one i got https://www.lenovo.com/au/en/p/laptops/ideapad/ideapad-5/len…. imo its pretty good, nice build quality, nice screen although the resolution could be a bit higher since its only 2k, however its OLED and 120Hz so it doesnt rly feel like it. Basically 0 fan noise/heating until you play games, especially since my one comes with a 4050. I got mine with 16gb ram, tb ssd. Battery is pretty good too, probably better with an IPS panel.

          • @Maqmed: Wow $500 more for oled and bigger screen and 4050… hmm… now i feel yours is a better deal but over my budger

            • @CyberMurning: its a very good laptop, if you can you should try getting this one.

Now we just need 28% cash back offer to stack.

    • Will the cashback work after applying the coupon code as the code is not listed on the shopback website.

  • +8

Those choosing to add 1TB can use the code ANWELDEC24 to bring it down to $1,298.65

    • Oh didnt know we can stack codes

    • Not working for me

      • Did you choose the 1TB addon as well as the 32gb because only then will it work, it doesn't work for just 32gb

        • I did but ram was 16gb, worked with 32fb, thx for the response

    • Nice, deal updated

    • Any idea if the storage is upgradable or soldered? Thanks.

      Hows the battery life?

  • Does 5% off first order stack

    • yup

    • How do you get 5% off first order, is this from creating an account on the Lenovo website?

      • Its a universal code ANWELDEC24

        • Does it stack with the 20%?

  • +1

Better to go for a core Ultra 2. Dramatic lift in battery life and much better igpu

Better to go for a core Ultra 2

I was thinking of getting the Super Pro Max Base Ultra HD Remix Tournament Edition, but then decided that the Hyper Pro Turbo Gold Base Ultra Deluxe HD Remix AI Tournament Platinum Edition with extra Turbo-encabulator would suit me better…

    • How much more?

      • $1999 on sale currently.

    • Link?

    No deal

Got the yoga pro 7 with similar specs and ryzen ai 9 365 for 1.2k off lenovo outlet

    • +2

      Link?

      • +3

i know right, tried quick search, couldnt find anything. sounds like bs.

        • +1

Hes posted this same comment a few times. I do find it hard to believe Lenovo was already posting the Yoga Pro 7 with the new Ryzen AI 365 chips that released end of 2024 for 1.2k on the Outlet store. The current sale price is $1999, so find it astonishing they would list on the Outlet store for a brand new at $800 cheaper from the sale price. Might be a refurb model, explaining why it was so cheap?

          • -3

@brifog: Not refurb, just a good deal
Got lucky I guess, was also bargain hunting for a similar spec laptop for several weeks so patience paid off

            • @Khartoum: How's the battery life? From reviews I've seen, its pretty mediocre.

    • @khartoum, link?

  • Outlet store has Yoga Slim 7x Snapdragon X with decent specs for $1659. Good buy? Or too early for snapdragon laptop?

    • If you know the software you'll be running is ARM compatible, then its a good buy. Otherwise, no its not really ready yet.

    • Get the slim 7i aura edition posted below

I need a computer to run https://huggingface.co/deepseek-ai/DeepSeek-R1-Distill-Qwen-… locally.
Is it able to run it?

  • +2

If you can stretch the budget, consider the Yoga Slim 7i Aura edition:

    • Ultra 7 258V Processor (Intels new Luna Lake CPU)
    • Intel Arc GPU
    • 32GB ram
    • 1TB SSD
    • IPS 15inch screen (better on battery)

1,898 delivered (includes 5% discount code when subscribing to Lenovo)

    • Yeah these are pretty premium but I'd say 1.9k is just decent, not a particular deal or anything like that

The battery is crazy good though

    • Ultra 7 155H is better if you need more cores.

  • +1

    Thanks! Grabbed one

  • This is a pretty sweet deal, i'd grab the 3yr warranty at discount of $94 and add the extra 1 battery replacement for $22.80 at checkout. If you have someone starting middleschool, this could probably last till they graduate, and if u wanted to before warranty was up, you could probably run cycles on the battery for the replacement, or….it could natually get there >.>

    20% cashback via shopback

    • Are both promo codes eligible for the 20% CB? Shopback don't list any code in their T&C.

      • They do have BACK2SCHOOL25 in part of their advertisement though.

        • Capped at $250

          • @NachoCheese: Can confirm, BACK2SCHOOL25 worked, and cashback capped at $250. Extra $20 with Westpac.
            Didn't risk adding ANWELDEC24.

    • Would code "ANWELDEC24" invalidate cashback?

      • Want to know too… aih decision decision

  • +1

    Im waiting for topcashback… @tightarse

    • Me too. But don't wanna risk losing this deal. Anyone know how long these lenovo deals last typically?

      • dont know.. and now no more 20% shopback.
i just checked the lenovo cashback history, actually the biggest were always from shopback 20% other cashback were 16% etc yes sometimes no cap 16% but for this specific laptop, 250$ cap is better

  • Would you guys recommend me to upgrade from my current laptop spec

    Latitude 7520:
    Memory: 16 GB
    Processor: 11th Gen Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-1185G7 @ 3.00GHz[Cores 4] [Logical processors 8]

My only issue is with the battery that lasts only 1 or 2hrs max, I have ordered a replacement battery but rest is working fine, so wondering if this is going to be a massive upgrade. Most of my usage is web based apps like chatgpt and perplexity etc and no video editing etc. Any guidance on the upgrade? My 3yr warranty recently expired so not sure what would be better way to handle this.

    • +1

you can google compare the 2 processors, i doubt would be massive

    • +1

The i7-1185G7 should comfortably handle web-based applications for at least the next 2-3 years.

The U5-125H would provide a significant performance boost, as it features a completely new architecture and is much more power efficient. But given that you only using web based apps and not very demanding tasks, the performance boost might not be as noticeable. Personally, I don't think it's worth upgrading.

      • The only thing i also just know recently, the igpu on i series 11th gen is the same since 8th gen! Omg. The 12th gen igpu is much better.
12th and 13th not much different (cpu gpu)
        Not sure after that.

  • +2

ANWELDEC24 doesnt seemed to work anymore… or is it just me ?

  • Bought on Jan 30 and they had additional 15% cashback available on CashRewards. Looks like it is 13% currently? Didn't think it would stack but it looks like it went through. Saved another 200$ that way (I had added premium care upgrade and battery add on so hence the higher cash back).
