Board Games Sale: Keyflower $42 (Was $89.95), Tapestry $133 (Was $154.95) & More, + $8 Postage @ Behold Games

250

ADVANCE NOTICE: Behold games is having a huge sale starting on Black Friday, and continuing to Midnight on Cyber Monday - 29/11/2019 to 2/12/2019

All discount codes currently active will be disabled for the duration of the sale, so if you've been holding onto one, I suggest using it before the sale, some items will not be restocked after the sale and most games I only keep in stock 1 at a time.

Shipping is $8 Australia wide - as I ship via Australia Post I am able to deliver to PO Boxes and Parcel Lockers, as well as offer tracking as standard on all deliveries. I also ship selected products to New Zealand. All items are securely packed with an appropriate level of packaging used.

I take pride in reducing waste by re-using packaging from what I've been sent - so I use a variety of padding types around game boxes - space fillers, foam, bubble wrap, kraft paper. The games might not arrive pretty, but they do arrive safe!

Some examples of deals that will be available during the sale:
  • 1830 Railways & Robber Barons $125.95 will be on sale for $95
  • Tapestry $154.95 for $133
  • Arkwright $117.95 for $102
  • Western Legends $90.95 for $78
  • Forum Trajanum $64.95 for $46
  • Keyflower $89.95 for $42
  • Gugong $99.95 for $78
  • Marrakech $49.95 for $23
  • Trade on the Tigris $94.95 for $49
  • Kanban Drivers Edition $107.95 for $86
  • Catan Seafarers 69.95 $63

And more when the sale starts!

This is part of Black Friday / Cyber Monday deals for 2019

    what will the prices be?

    • +7

I'm still doing the calculations - I'm a solo-woman shop so this stuff can take a bit of time.

My preliminary guestimations will be that discounts will be between 2% and 30% off depending on the items (some items like board game sleeves have only a 2% profit margin so they'll see a smaller discount applied).

Mostly I just wanted to give everyone fair warning, so that they can choose to buy a game prior to the sale (to avoid missing out on it) or hold off for the sale in the hopes of a great deal - and so that everyone has time to browse the site and check out what is in stock ahead of time.

edit I've updated with some prices, but there will be more during the sale. Site wide there will be discounts applied.

This should be in forums, as DEALS are vague. Or repost when you actually have some deals.

Sorry, I'm relatively new to the site - I tried to check the rules and felt this would be appropriate to post.

I'll work out some quick prices and advise on some items that will be on sale with rough pricing for now :)

Thanks for the feedback - I've updated the listing with some initial deals that will be active on the site during the sale.

  • Is Catan Seafarers expansion likely to come down by much?

    • +2

Heya! That item isn't super cheap wholesale, looking at $63 for that one during the sale.
I've added it to the main post also!

As you've stated you are new to this, my advice would be to take this post down and re-post closer to date or on the day. It might be in your best interest to market a specific game that is popular with the biggest discount eg. Monopoly Deal $5 + Delivery @ Behold Games. In caption then add there is a store-wide discount and let us OzBargainers notify each other what we think is a good deal.

Please don't take this as me forcing my opinion on you. This is the best way I know how to welcome you as a new OzBargainer and small business owner… with cool products.

    • Thanks, I'll take that on board for future sales and deals - I think I'll leave it up - my main purpose for posting early was to let people know two things:
      1. Discounts would be disabled during the sale (so if you have them now use them before the sale starts or risk missing out on your wish list)
      2. People can add stuff to their carts now so they can snap them up when the sale starts - Shopify (my ecommerce platform) allows you to save items in your cart for 14 days - Although you'll get a cart reminder after 2 days.

I've edited it to add prices in the post for now, hopefully that will be enough to pique peoples interest.

      Sorry mate.

      • Discount is UP - and its still available :)

  • Prices are above ebay standard pricing.

I've bought games off ebay before, fake galore. I've even gotten fakes from Ozgameshop sooo buyer beware!

      • stick with the big sellers, gameology (whatever they're choosing to call themselves by the day), gamerholics, city of games, mighty ape, cardtastic.

        i buy ~100 games a year, haven't received a single fake.

        • +1

I only source games from kickstarter/direct from the publisher or through official Australian Wholesalers. No fakes here!

I'm relatively new on the retail scene (I've only been selling for a year now), but I (Teena) am pretty well known in the community if you're worried about the shop from a reputation perspective… below is some information you can independently verify. I'm truly in it for the love of the community.

          Outside of my business:
I run the Australian Board Game Geeks facebook group, I'm also on the committee for SydCon and EyeCon role playing conventions.

          As part of my business:
I run the Australian board game cruise event (just finished its second year), and I've just run the first ever 18xx Con Sydney. In adition to the conventions I run, I also run Sydney Tabletop Games meetups (originally a hobby started back in early 2015 - now with over 5000 members, and regular board game event attendance of 45-60 people every Thursday.

  • Is this Western Legends at the Gamesmen for $69 the same?

    • ¯_(ツ)_/¯

Can't always be the best price, but you'll find a lot of my prices are quite competitive.

  • Sneaky pre-black friday update - some items have started to be discounted.
Including the exclusive Lorenzo Il Magnifico Pazzi Conspiracy expansion (as far as I know I'm the only stockist in Australia)

  • Now added: Keyflower $42 (Was $89.95)

    HELLO EVERYONE

so the sale is now in full swing, I've got a few more items I may discount over the weekend…
A friend of mine built this price indexer, which indexes my prices against everyone elses - you can see here where "lowest" is listed where I have the game at the lowest price (including compared to amazon AU and US).
