I've always loved the Smash Up card games - It's easy to learn but has a tonne of depth and some great combos.

The "shufflebuilding" game Smash Up begins with a simple premise: take the 20-card decks of two factions, shuffle them into a deck of forty cards, then compete to crush more Bases than your opponents!

Both of these versions are standalone alone games in their own right, but can also be combined with each other (Frozen Avengers, anyone?) or even the core Smash Up game and/or expansions for more crazy and fun combos.

  Good deal for local pickup but $20 shipping to Brisbane kills it for me.

    Yeah, Toymate's shipping chart is really odd.
    If you're buying both it's still a good deal, as most other stores still have it at RRP of $49.95, despite the RRP listed on Toymate (so you'd still essentially be getting one for free even with shipping) - but the value certainly isn't there for just one with shipping.
