  • Children's price: A$1.50 per year of age for all meals

So a 16yo pays $23 for breakkie, but adults are $20 each?

    • I think their definition of children is up to 12 years (see kids club ages)

  • Does anyone know how often a package this cheap comes up?

EDIT: did a search and it's come up a few times. sometimes even cheaper ($199pn)

  • No availability between 3 December 2019 and 18 January 2020.

  • -2

So the 4 guests all sleep in the same room. I wonder if they provide a bowl for the keys?

The family room looks like two of these rooms but more then double the price.

    • +2

yep, 2 queen beds when I went earlier this year

kids one one, parents in another

Definitely not the most spacious accomodation, but I think i paid about $200/night for a room overlooking the pool with breakfast and unlimited theme park entry included.
good value considering the theme park $

      • Oh it’s good value, except who wants to go to bed at 7-8pm? I suppose they don’t have daylight savings so that’s an extra hour

  • "Valid for travel until 24 December 2020 (bookings must be made before 31 October 2020)."
What does that mean, don't you have to book now?

    • 2020, not 2019

      • What I mean is, what is the "bookings must be made before 31 October 2020" saying? Is this deal going to be running for close to a year, so you can take it up any time until Oct?

        • +1

There is an option to buy this as a voucher if you are not sure of the dates right now. That voucher needs to be used before Oct 2020

          • @rake: That makes sense, thanks. Didn't see that anywhere.

  • Wouldn't stay there if it was free. Last year we went and the electricity for the whole resort was out for 2 days. Got a refund only after I complained. Awful place.

  • its not to bad, we went in October. the rooms are old (ie. bathtub shower) and we payed extra to get a queen bed and for school holidays.. staff were great. works out good value with all the passes.

  • I paid $710 after cashback for 4 adults, 1 child for 2 nights (3 days of parks) including breakfast. In December Christmas period too (I booked some months back, in advance). Good price, I reckon.

The plan is - Sea world, then Movie world, then Wet'n'Wild. Then paying for a night of camping at Paradise Country.

I think it's good value if you have a lot of people sleeping in 1 room, since the park passes are included. I've done it twice before, the only complaint being that last time I booked in cooler months and couldn't use the resort pool etc (and the restaurant is pretty expensive).

Agoda seem to have 13% cashback today. That maybe a good alternative to this deal.

  • +1

Sleep in the same room as your kids for a week, screw that.
    Couldn't think of anything worse.

    • and the OzBargain 'Parent of the Year' awards goes to ……..

      • Obviously you don't have young kids.

        • i do actually
We took them here this year (posted about it above)

          • @SBOB: Most parents don’t want to spend time in a single room place with kids. It’s not a holiday, no shagging, bed early, up early. Kudos if you can handle it.

            • @[Deactivated]: Agreed. That was my point in the first place. The Gold Coast has 1000's of apartments, you are spoiled for choice and probably work out cheaper anyway.

  • Not worth it. I stayed here with the family in July. The theme parks is the only thing that makes this remotely a deal. For buffet breakfast, you have to be early or wait up to an hour. Service in most restaurants is shit. We had a renovated room, but the place looks dilapidated.

A$50 Animal Adventure Voucher for an unforgettable adventure with Sea World’s marine life

Yeah… that makes no dent in the total.
